Brit Awards 2009
The only ones of those I saw were Kylie (funny), Girls Aloud (good) and Estelle/Ting Tings. Now, I'm a big fan of both acts, it must be said, but I'm disappointed that some people are saying it is one of the worst Brits performances ever. When Estelle came out I did think 'I don't think this works' but from American Boy verse 2 onwards to That's Not My Name with Katie, Stell and Jules all doing different parts, I thought it was epic! I loved Kings of Leons performance for example, but it could have been the radio edit! I mean that's testemant to Caleb's cracking voice, but also it didn't make it as exciting as it couild have been with some adlibs or different melodies - that's what I loved Estelle and the Tings, it excited me!

Sharon: I quit X-Factor over Dannii
I phrased that wrong. Clearly not the most relevant judge in terms of experience and right to comment, but says the most relevant things. Simon is now just catchphrases.

Sharon: I quit X-Factor over Dannii
Norma I have to totally disagree with what you said, Dannii has probably said more in one single week that is constructive and relevant criticism than Sharon did in her four years on the show. Dannii, for me, is easily the best mentor and the most relevant judge on the team, ever. And this is from someone who RUED the decision to hire her because he literally (not sure why) DESPISED her beforehand!

Flight of the Conchords // Season 2
I didn't know it'd started :(

Being Human...
Wow, that episode was FANTASTIC. The best yet, easily, and the others have been so good! There was touching, there was comedy, there was drama, just great. Nothing is predictable, I had no idea Bernie would watch the wrong DVD until he did. When I saw the 'next week' clip last episode, I assumed they had been found out as werewolves and co, so it was a great twist that that wasn't the case, and it all tied in so WELL with the Nina/secrets line (ps. love love LOVE Nina) Also, the fact that because of the Owen situation, Annie is now a poltergeist is GENIUS, I laughed out so loud when the lightbulb fell from the ceiling and the slag-woman went 'rawlplugs' Perfect hours, genuinely.

Dancing on Ice //
It looked the same way with Chris Fountain last year though, didn't it? Jessica may be his Suzanne Shaw...
-
James Morrison - Please Don't Stop the Rain
I like this song but he REALLY should have gone with Nothing Ever Hurts Like You IMO.

I think Ray did himself a real favour this week, the people who call him smug and arrogant can't have failed to see how shocked and elated he was with his score!

Top 200 Best Sellers Of The Decade
Thanks alot, what are the emboldened ones? - surprised how high some of last years are - Ne-Yo's 'Closer' for example! Looks like Alexandra will soon become the biggest X Factor single ever AND the best selling female record of the decade :D
-
Skins // Series 3
Oh, I fancy the quiet one more, I don't want her to be loud and $h!t. I've loved every episode and this was on the same level for me, some great comedy, alot from Pandora but it was nice to see her characters other side too. The mother was hilarious, though I was very much doubtful of the fact the Mum would have been out of it til everyone went home. No matter. How does Thomas keep affording to fly? And I like Freddie, they don't all need to be dickheads, and the relationship between the three lads with JJ being pulled every which way really works for me!

Alexandra Burke || Signs £2.4 million US record deal
I hope this goes really well for her, I'd like nothing more than for her to prove the doubters wrong :D

Lady Sovereign \ So Human
I've always loved Sov, went to see her with the first album and she was FANTASTIC, 'Public Warning' is so good, 'I Got U Dancing' is her best song ever and I like this too, I suspect it will grow on me more, I really hope she has a huge year!

Jazmine Sullivan 'Dream Big' / 'Fearless'
I have a friend who I trust implicitly as far as music goes. I heard half of Bust Your Windows and based on that and her recommendation, I got this yesterday, I look forward to listening to it tomorrow!

Flo-Rida ft.Ke$ha // Right Round
I adore this, I think she sounds like Katy too, but don't think the song itself is very Perryish - and all the better for it :P

OFFICIAL COMIC RELIEF NEWS: The Single For 2009
I love the video, I find it visually interesting, there are lots of different things to look at and towards the end, it's funny. Song is growing on me too!

Which Comic Relief single is worse?
I'm not going to vote, but I will comment. I like all three groups, but Saturdays have made such an impact on me in such a short time. They are easily my favourite. Based on three listens to the Sats, I'd say it is worse. Only Vulnerable on their album is worse than this for them, they can do much better - but it could really grow on me!

Being Human...
I didn't like it at the start but I got wowed towards the end - couldn't believe the twist they threw in with regards to Annie, really wasn't expecting it. Not really a fan of Gilbert but it doesn't look like he'll be returning. Watching George's sex scenes at work was a cringe.

BRIT AWARDS Collaboration!
Amazing collaboration, I can't wait for it! I know Alan is right about the album not having any more hits (though in terms of progress, a No.6 album after a No.36 album is headed in the right direction), but I have no doubt there will be a future album - the woman is a Grammy winner and a Mercury Music Prize nominee (for the album as a whole, which is critically acclaimed), there's no doubt at all she'll be back with more material, it's not as if we're talking a novelty one hit wonder who has no chance of future success - she has plenty of chance with the right record again - she came close to the top 10 with 1980 long before American Boy!

OFFICIAL COMIC RELIEF NEWS: The Single For 2009
I agree, Saturdays are already the UK's best girlband for me BUT I prefer Walk This Way... I really am not keen on this thus far.

2008 Grammy Award Winners - Year Of The Brits
Really pleased for our artists, mainly Adele, Estelle, Duffy and Coldplay, what a great lot of the main awards they took! Also really pleased for John Mayer and Jennifer Hudson but sad that Jason Mraz took nothing :(

2008 Grammy Award Winners - Year Of The Brits
'Gravity' is one of the most deserved awards of the whole shebang! An amazing performance and song!

OFFICIAL COMIC RELIEF NEWS: The Single For 2009
Wow, I never got the love for Jump. Easily one of, if not THE, worst things GA have ever done. Compared to Work it's a shambles!

Skins // Series 3
I think Thomas must be back by the look of what Pandora gets up to next week - and the style of the necklace she was wearing! I thought it was another great episode, loving this series, Thomas was very instantly likeable so that made his slotting in easier. I think I am going to start saying 'So nice to meet you', it's sweet. I love the dialogue more than anything, love the lines Jark posted (as well as 'And don't think of moving, they are all mine. And they'll be 400 quid, by X Factor') :D and also 'It's like being fisted by Joe Calzaghe - when Joe's still got his gloves on' :D

The Buzzjack Sunday Chart Thread
I can't believe this thread has people saying Adele can't sing! She is one of the greatest singers we have and have probably ever had in this country, INCREDIBLE voice!
