I fear you're probably right about that... however I hope he does give her at least SOME access to writers like Tedder.. the first album material will be totally make or break for her (I know they say that every week on the X Factor but it's actually true this time :P)

I'm glad of the good response, can't think of the last British drama I've really enjoyed this much, British comedy is great but the drama doesn't always grab me. LOVE Julie Graham, love the relationship between Naj and Al, I thought when the series finished that that was it, so I'm glad to hear there is a series 2. It's so funny, if there was no series 2 the end would have been appalling, but now that I know there is, it was amazing - and I can't wait!

Wow, what a thing to say Norma! Huge statement! Personally I believe that the versatility we're really talking about is umtempos and ballads - and Leona while being a master of the second, is no real expert at the former. In 'Forgive Me', she has a fantastic set of dancers, but all she does herself is move her hips and walk forwards, then backwards. Alexandra (who is my favourite contestant on a reality show ever, I say this because I hope it means this next statement will help validate my opinion as something other than a crazy biased fan) has not got as strong a vocal as Leona, in my opinion. However, there are things she can do which Leona just can't - and she does everything so well - we can't all be Leona Lewis, doesn't mean you can't be a bloody good singer. She is a wonderful allrounder. I believe I have heard Simon actually say Alexandra is more versatile. He also disputed Louis Walsh's claim that Alexandra was the best vocalist the show had ever had (Xtra Factor), bringing up Leona, so much as I dislike him at times, he does seem to recognise their strengths. And like he said himself, WHY is there such a fuss about the UK having similar (debatable) artists in Leona and Alexandra, when the US have Whitney, Mariah, Beyonce, Christina, Britney... there is so much room for both artists.

I didn't want to wait and lose out completely so I stocked up now on 6 albums from Basshunter, Girls Aloud (OOC), Alesha, Pendulum (In Silico), Same Difference and something else I've forggoten for 30 odd quid.

It's a bit ridic the way points are dished out for how many people play! My average points was 6.2 after I got like 8 points for an 8 out of 10 score = and on the second time EVER that I got a 10 (Christmas Day) barely anyone played, I got 6 points and my average went DOWN to 6.1 :(

I voted for Alexandra, I know it's very early, but she was from day one, in my eyes, the best contestant I'd ever witnessed, and unless she royally lets me down with her material, it'll stay that way

That is very interesting - esp as I haven't seen or heard Issues anywhere, but the Loving Kind all over! Unfortunately the Sats have been yo-yoing a bit - hope they can keep this up!

PS. For all those who seem to think otherwise, loving Jeff's doesn't mean I don't or can't love Alexandra's!

Massive Alexandra fan and think her version is stunning, but at the end of the day she was just doing her job on it, I picked someone who chose to cover it and did the most talked about version and that's Jeff

Alexandra was a worthy winner tonight. I think alot of folk wait til the final to vote and whereas the JLS/Eoghan girl fans will vote every week, Alex had an older audience who just felt they had to vote tonight - though it's clear she was way off the pace at the seasons start (PS. WOW at Scott's vote share week one - a bad performance can do wonders! ) I can not think of anyone else who deserves this more, I was so so so nervous but am so happy. I would have wished for two things - one, Alexandra to just take in her stride the fact she was singing with Beyonce rather than breakdown, and two, sing the whole final song cause I hated when Steve didn't sing all of his through smiling too much, but I guess it was emotional and I won't hold it against her. Otherwise? perfect! She was so funny on Xtra Factor, she said she'd been to Beyonce's dressing room (btw, Cheryl and Alex said she was the most gracious, humble, down to earth superstar of all) and asked if she could be her support on tour and Beyonce just went 'yes!' and that she'd asked about doing a duet - Cheryl went 'you already did one, pet' and in the most adorable baby voice Alexandra went 'I want 'nother one!', it was too cute, I'm glad we have someone with a personality, and when she stops crying it'll totally show more. I hope the album comes out next November, I'll wait. Please not March. WELL DONE ALEXANDRA BURKE!

I saw in the paper something about Patsy Palmer being amazing this week and thought 'surely not!' - reading this I am going to watch Tuesday's episode, even though I barely watch this anymore!

It's better than the other two acts she could be with IMO - if they sing Irreplaceable too it's not a complete screamer of a song and so one won't outdo the other. From what I understand Beyonce just wanted to sing alone and there were ongoing talks to try and persuade her otherwise. I expect they ended up saying 'if you don't sing with a contestant, you don't sing at all' and that's why she's doing it.

I can see the point, there are times Beyonce looks like I total diva and times when she seems the most down to earth person ever (I guess the Beyonce/Sasha thing is apt) so hopefully she'll show a little friendly nature and let Alex shine if they do duet.. Hopefully the fact Alex sings in a lower register will make for good harmonies! I was under the impression it was what I think is the same as last year - that is, Xmas Song, Celebrity Duet (with three different acts) and favoruite song from the show so far? I think the single performance is later in the results show, isnt it? And as the show is the same length as last week, there'd be time for nine performances (last week there were 8 but doubt there will be a VT for all three songs per act this week) This is not concrete, just what I thought.

Well said that man, if we vote enough for our favourite then there is no cause for complaint!
