I feel so sorry for him. He wallows in negativity so much that his life must be a misery.

Such a misguided soul. She doesn't need hype, her talent says it all. She will break from the reality show thing just like Kelly Clarkson has. Only Leona won't flop on her third album.

Lol, you crazy? The second album will be twice as good. She'll have had more time to mature then.

Six weeks at number one, nice Leona! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I think Leona will do the double again this week, and then lose number one in the singles next week. I'm a massive Leona fan, so I love her being at number one, but I think 6 weeks is fair enough. I don't want her to get over-exposed like Umbrella.

Take That fall at last. :z

Geez, this song has been around for agesss!

Lol. Guess CIN hasn't helped the Spice Girls much so far.
  10. Why does everyone bum the Spice Girls? That's what I want to know. They already had their day in the sun. They can't even be bothered to sing live or put energy into their performances for their so-called 'comeback'. Instead they're relying on gimmicks and fashion. :puke2:

I think it's all related. Certifications are based on how many the shops buy, but how many the shopies buy (trade sales) is based on how many the public buy (public demand). So when you have an album like Leona's which is in very high demand and very highly anticipated, it means she gets certified a lot quicker.
  12. Charisma only takes you so far. And unlike talent, charisma is something that can be grown and nurtured. Plenty of artists that are so called 'charismatic' are not naturally that way - they just learn to be that way in the industry. Leona can do the same.
  13. They did. It's set to sell over 300k by the end of the week.
  14. In my opinion you have a foul attitude. Whoops, did I say that out loud?
  15. Spirit is definitely a grower for me. I was a bit underwhelmed the first time I listened to it - I only really liked about 5 songs. By the third listen I was in love with every single one. The more you listen is the more you appreciate the different nuances and qualities of each track. So I would personally advise people not to be so quick in judging it.
  16. Lol? Spice Girls deserve a nice send off? They already have that with their sold out tours. You'd have to be stupid or a real fan to spend money on a Greatest Hits album when you already have all their past albums and the two new songs are as bland as they are. I don't know why people are so obsessed with this idea of "deserving" things in music. It's not about who deserves what.
  17. Why have an option for neither? Just don't vote, and that will count as "neither". :)

It should be whoever the public want to spend their hard earned money on. Whether you like it or not, that happens to be Leona, and I for one am glad. We need fresh blood in music. And even though I don't think music is about who deserves what, if I was to say anyone did deserve it, it would be Leona. Most of the competition are established artists who have already had their time in the sun. Let someone new and talented like Leona have their time to shine! :cheer:

No one deserves anything in music. It's about what the public want to hear and are willing to spend money on.

Back when they came out sales were higher in general. And none of them got £5million 5-album recording contracts right off the bat, or US releases. Leona has all the talent she needs to succeed, as well as the looks, and a lot of influential people behind her. I can just tell she's going to be a huge international star in a few years.

    Seriously? He's gorg.

Take That don't even need to do much promo. They're established, with a hardcore fanbase. Everyone knows who they are and when they're releasing. Besides, they did do Jonathan Ross. So stop being such an ass.
  24. Unfortunately I think it will be the Spice Girls. I think their new single is total c**p, but people will buy anything they put out. Also, let's not forget that they're donating all the profits from Headlines to Children In Need, which gives another incentive for people to buy it. I'm not really counting it as a proper single to be honest, because the sales from that won't be because of the quality of the song itself. It'll sell big just because of who they are and the good cause factor.
