quite frankly it is petty and self- absorbed to turn your first DNQ in years into such a big deal that it clouds the entire thread. totally lacking in self-awareness and incredibly self-pitying. as is with life not everything goes our way and it’s a testament to a person’s character how they deal with those highs and lows. i’m very fortunate to have done well in this contest in the past year, i’ve had dnq’s in the past and a number of runner up positions (to the point of missing out by a single point) sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, that is life. doing well is a lovely feeling but what also makes this contest so great is the sharing and joy of music you would never otherwise encountered. those highs are made all the better than the DNQs and close misses. this contest is the best thing about buzzjack and every nation plays a part in making the competition the great thing that it is.
