I'd agree Ben. Pains is a good record but it just doesn't DO enough to be up there with AC or YYYs. Both the former bands have crafted records with such a range of thoughts, ideas, images and sounds, the level of ambition and quality songcraft transcends the efforts Pains make with ease. And for good reason Pains are a new band whereas the other two are obvious veterans now.

I'm challenging it, seeing as 'these days' would imply that you have been involved for a considerable time and it has become an increasing trend and have much research to back up this claim.

The way you worded what you said made it look like you were trying to discredit what I was saying based on the number of contests I have entered. It doesn't mean I haven't been following it for longer or been able to get a general gist of things. Also "these days" has nothing to do with the length I've been taking part in this? It was a general comment over the time of the contest so please don't misconstrue what I said by putting words in my mouth.

 

Yanno as a relative outsider you guys need to watch the way you're going about this, you risk completely ruining the spirit of the contest. Simply don't vote for what you these cheap entries. You can't set some sort of standard as to what people should enter. The whole thread is farcical in all honesty

If anything this contest has a problem not with entries but people voting for their favourite people. That's why I don't really do BJSC anymore. I find it all a monopoly these days.
