i think this is quite clearly a kanye single given the fact that he's worked with paul mccartney on much of his new album, also rihanna's team would never launch the lead single from an album 2.5 years in the making with a silent release of a song on a sunday with the same unusual pairing as a single first premiered a week or so ago (kanye/paul)
what basis are people calling this her single? the fact her name comes first on the itunes credit? that's no proof at all...

^ Great video. I'm thinking it may help Jake get back on board! :o
I agree that this release really feels like it'll be big.
yes it has actually :kink: but this isn't one that will be remembered down the line. i maintain it's ultra-disposable.
FUN FACT: the video had the same choreographer as the 'chandelier' video

I CANNE VIEW THESE VIDEOS (in my country). God damn NBC!
Deffo going to watch New Jersey when it's back on.
Also - you should track down "The Hotwives of Orlando" which is a Real Housewives spoof on Hulu.
Amazing cast, Casey Wilson, Angela Kinsey, Kristen Schaal.. all amazing (especially Casey Wilson).
It got renewed for a second season, centered in Las Vegas - with a new/changed cast I'm assuming.
Canada had it's own "Real Housewives..." series, it did well but was cancelled after 2 seasons.
yes i watched it. i loved mary, bullied horribly by the others bless her!
what browser do you use babe? if chrome get hola and you can change what country your internet is set to and you can watch anything :o HERE IS A LINK: http://hola.org/
i will check that out now <3

first album since 2009. really is the year of long time missing acts.
'satellites' is very good and very upbeat. excitement:

yes teresa is in prison now. the whole of the last season everyone felt so bad for them and they very much played the woe is us card, our poor children are going to suffer...erm you were the ones who commited a number of crimes over a number of years!
atlanta is still fabulous for how quick nene and phaedra are, so much drag culture appropriation in the slang they use. i laugh multiple times every episode. this season of beverly hills is good also, the cast works well together and there is plenty of drama.
but yes deffo watch atlanta. i think nene is my favourite reality figure of all time:
probably the quickest witted, fiercest woman i have ever come across on the television. she deserves every bit of success~

i think it's bloody awful. feels very smug like it belongs on a television advert or some such. it's struggle to look at the mccartney-rihanna-kanye triad as much more than superstar posturing; the cover art certainly feeds into that.
i assume on the how it's being spun that this is a non-album single.

i think some of you are selling her a bit short and i wonder how much of the past was based around hollywood/her youth. she's explained somewhere her happiness at signing with interscope and there have been many pictures of her in the studio with various people including sia, there's a world tour lined up for later this year also.
and this song shows an evolution in selena. it's honestly one of the rawest and genuine ballads i can recall for some years.

i can't believe that "one of the best songs of the past few years" has been shifted from #01 by THAT. this cover version is miles better imo:
love all the taylor of course as well as sia. i've only recently gotten into 'ugly heart' recently, it's utterly essential :o
also love new fergie ferg, it is utterly terrible but all the best for it <3

i've been very hesitant about listening to this given the feedback but oh my, i love it. it is utterly ridiculous and nonsensical, spouting out every country under the sun like you're redone circa 2010. why the jamaican accent? it sounds like it's trying to be about 10 different artists and is a total hot mess but it is for that reason that i love fergie ferg *.*
also the video is pretty much perfect, bordering on boujetto but maintaining a creative yet tacky aesthetic throughout. the ponytail is my personal highlight. her NYE performance is fabulous as well:
outfit on point, she's looking on point, dancing on point. seems she's saying so what if i'm nearly 40, i'll do what i want, no f***s given. actually really admire her.

new pop/electropop artist with A LOT of potential:
http://i1.wp.com/hasitleaked.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Hayley-Kiyoko-This-Side-of-Paradise-2015-1200x1200.png
01 Given It All
02 Cliff's Edge
03 This Side of Paradise
04 Girls Like Girls
05 Feeding the Fire
but it's 'given it all' that's the real wower:
she has also gone and done a cover of the new meghan trainor single, it is naturally much better than the original:
ep is out some time in february that i forget. HURRAH.

young white male pop does very well because it appeals to such a broad demographic, a lot of pop cannot attract the likes of the archetypal young straight white male, add to that cross-gender appeal. it's the sort of music that percolates deep into society hence why it lingers around for so long.
what does sort of irk me are the suggestions that ed sheeran is a particularly good artist. his music is utterly cliched, bereft of any soul or meaning and no different to the prefabricated pop of the 90s; it's just under a false veil of authenticity.

i absolutely ADORE selena tim, she is probably my favourite mainstream proper popstar. she has a certain serenity and grace to her and her back catalogue is utterly fabulous, particularly the remixes.
yes her and zedd have already been in the studio and:

she really is deserving of her own appreciation thread in my eyes.
