It will help like most promotion helps abit, but not to the extent that doubters were crying out last year after went to #1. Also doesnt account for how she managed to stay there for 7 weeks after one performance :heehee: ! if its a good song it will help alot, if its not it wont.

Yep and just ask leon jackson, after his xfactor performance this week he wont even break top 2! in fact how many people have gone #1 after performing on the xfactor, i can only think of leona :rolleyes:

Stupid decision.. The Perfect scenario is to move it up to the 18th- second live show, when noone seems to be performing on this show! Then there would be no clashes with GA, performance or otherwise, and people wont get sick of the song on radio etc before wanting to buy it!! But oh wait, they prob want leon at #1 for longer than a week, so they probably wont do that! :banghead:

Fanbase means nothing, look at mycfly, they get a decent position then they disappear of the face of the planet come next week. This song will stick around the top 10 for ages- and you'll be eating your words.. sorry but fanbase cant do that!.. tbh i think your over estimating the size of leonas fanbase, its hardly on take thats level is it. Her fanbase wasn't the reason BL was #1 for 7 weeks or the reason BIT stuck around for a while either, sorry. And wow a singer that can emulate all these people at once when they all sound nothing alike.. wow thats some achievement. :rolleyes:

People complain that she only ever does boring ballads and 'woe is me' videos, never anything fun and uptempo. So she does something fun and uptempo to different to appeal to a different market and people still complain... cant win can she? :rolleyes:

The UK BL vid was american as well i thought, it was made in america, certainly doesn't look English. The BIT video is the only one that looks really english. Since her music has to appeal internationally, and she has an american recording contract- who prob fund the vids, it makes sense that the videos arent always going to appear English.

Dont like the GA single.. its bland and is not as catchy as FM.

#1 with out a doubt, its not on the original album, its VERY catchy, very radio friendly- will get alot of airplay. And shes premiering it on the xfactor. cant fail.

Yeah i agree.. Leon has the hype from his xfactor performance, and he may still have alot of tween fans from his time on the xfactor waiting to buy his first single.. So i think he will get #1 for one week. Saturdays will prob get top 5, they might climb after that due to airplay etc.

I think they are released the same week, around the 13th of october.. someone correct me if im wrong. Who will get #1, who will get a higher position in the chart? Leon has his xfactor performance and hype surrounding his return of his first single. 'Up' is a Cathy tune, much better than leons....

'Up' is apparently released the same week as 'don't call this love'.

Its pretty boring, i like the really like the song when Stephanie sings it- in a jazzy edgy style. But leons voice bores me on it, turns it in to a dreary ballad.

Mariah carey (sounds awful live now) but obviously have to put her down Whitney (same as mariah, but haven't heard her lately) celine dion -last few performances i only saw her mime but i think shes still got it. They wont until the deluxe release in october, any single they release of the current album probably wont do that well because shes sold over 2 million albums in the UK already. Well 'take a bow' would of done well, but she couldnt really release that after rihanna released her bland song. Yep it kind of screwed things up. Until then there is the jimmy page and leona duet this sunday, singing 'whole lotta love' at the olympics... which should be interesting!
