Nice to see this doing ok in the UK. Its flopping in the US i think.

Rihanna releaes anything it does well, others on the album would of done just as well like breaking dishes.

This has grown on me, but still rihannas worst song to date. Didnt deserve a release over others on her album.

I feel one hit wonder status coming for sam. But i LOVE black and gold.

Duffy isnt pop! well she may be classed as such, the same as most artists in the charts now! To my ears she falls in to the soul genre!! how can you confuse that with pop? i dont mean because shes become popular now- which technically is what pop means. The Saturdays are pure pop, or 'stereotypical pop'- which there isnt really much of in the charts at the moment. Probably becuase its quite dated, pop has moved on. However i don't think the Saturdays with ITIL or other songs on the album sound overly dated. It is good to have more pure pop in the charts.

I like it, its a very safe option for first single due to it being generic. yeah i could see Jordan or jojo singing it.

Agreed! Mariah and ALL her single choices :puke2: Even 'loving you long time' would be better placed with ISIL, migrate, FTR or side effects! Its doing nothing on US itunes, if they release it over here i think it will flop. Its doing ok US radio though. ISTIL would sell the album more than IBLULT as well. Saturdays- i like the song- but could of been stronger considering how much promo they put in to them and the fact they are supposed to be the next big thing.

This is way better than 21st century life, this is really catchy, 21cl isnt. Doubt this will flop. Edit- is she getting a US release?? hope she does, interested to see how SAM does.

Love STL and SAM, her voice sounds the best on SAM though.

They need to hurry up and release the video its getting ridiculous now!! theyve released one single in 2008 so far- by the times FM's done they will only have released two! They could of released something else on spirit over the summer not sure what though! they need to release this in august at the latest!

Her voice isnt good enough or distinctive enough for her to make it big on her own. She had good songs as well so it wasnt that. She should of stayed with the PCD for another two albums, too early to leave them at this point, her fan base wasnt big enough.

I dont think they will release take a bow at this time because of rihannas take a bow is taking off. So the next best choice for the summer is forgive me, i think they were going to go for TAB next though but they had to change their decision. Because its not exactly the best time to re-release the album as its still selling well on its own. I hope they dont release WEIT next.

I think angel would be an ok 4th or 5th single whent he albums already sold loads in the US by this time so it doesnt matter, atm its a bit of a mediocre follow up to anything really strong like BL, or forgive me. I do think its a good song but it doesnt stand out really. Radio eats up stargate production in the states though. Im hoping they will release a deluxe album in october with FM and MG, then release one or both of these :D

I think misses glass is single material, not angel. Angel sounds like to many other stargate tracks..this is at least different and the ending is great..really love it, i dont usually like this type of pop either. I have a few criticisms but its a good addition to the album, it really livens the album up from its ballad heaviness. I think forgive me will be even better though so cant wait for that.

Thats not the case. She reached #1 on US itunes with NO promotion at all- this was purely on the basis of her decent but not great amount of airplay at the time. She knocked usher off the top of itunes who had 3times her airplay. If it hadnt been for Oprah technically she would be #2 on on the billboard hot 100. Which is still a massive achievement in its self. luckily she got a big sales boost from oprah which managed to clinch her the #1. She would still be the first British artist in god knows how many years to get a #2. Her song climbed airplay on its own merit and requests at an astonishingly fast rate for an unkown artist, of course no where near the rate of the likes of usher and mariah. It was #1 most requested z100 in new york and is now on heavy rotation. People who dont know the facts are assuming that it was handed to her- do some research before jumping to this conclusion. She hasnt done the touring like many do to break america but with her backing and how well shes done with out any promotion, it isnt needed at the moment, shes concentrating on the big stuff. Futhermore, bleeding love has only just begun to really take off on airplay, due to how popular the song is-evident from its rise on itunes from minimal airplay, theres no reason why she cant go back to #1 after mariah and madonnas hype dies down, as i cant see them having as much longevity.

Im sure you will have to bite your words. Many people are having to now! leonas got two more definite smashes on her US release of spirit- 'forgive me' produced by akon and 'take a bow' produced by ryan tedder (who did bleeding love). And some other potential hits i.e misses glass, angel.
