OCC: Top 40 Most Streamed Christmas Songs
I wish Sia’s ‘Snowman’ was included, instead of ‘Santa’s coming for us’. I don’t hate it, but it does grate after a bit. ‘Snowman’ is a grower!🥰🥰 Also it’s so frustrating how the following are not included: Hurts - All I want for Christmas is New Year’s Day. ( A perfect song for anytime of the year.) George Michael - Sweet December song.😍😍 ( Just a stunning song, with a heartwarming video. This really is criminally underrated, it finally clicked with me a few years ago. It’s also much MUCH better than ‘Last Christmas’. (Sorry.)😎 Low - Just like Christmas ( Now THIS should be Xmas No.1 this year.) Mavis Staples - Christmas Vacation.🥰 ( I never hear this classic on the radio, it’s included on ‘National lampoon Xmas vacation.’ And finally just for fun... Pet Shop boys - it doesn’t often snow at Christmas.🥳🥳

Physical • Second Single
“Baby, keep on dancing like you ain’t got a choice!”😍 God, I can’t get enough of this! This will surely be one of the defining hits of the year. Please get this to No.1, it can stay there forever, well at least a month.🥰

Your defining chart moment of this decade
One of my favourite battle for No. 1 was one week in October 2012. Rihanna, One Direction, Ellie Goulding & Psy all competing for the top spot! It looked like OD were going all the way, but Rihanna was not far behind, both neck & neck in the updates. By the middle of the week it looked like “Diamonds” was going to be her seventh UK No. 1 Single... But of course Adele released “Skyfall” that Friday with only 48 hours left to spare. God it was nailbiting! iTunes that morning was just crazy!!! I was checking many websites early afternoon on Sunday to see if Rihanna had done it😎

Top of the Pops on BBC4
Belinda Carlisle finally hit the top spot! I think Kylie was No. 90 that week, though I may be mistaken? ‘Heaven is a place on earth’ & ‘Father Figure’ both in the same edition. That instantly makes it 10/10.😍 I’ll forget about ‘Stutter-rap’ though😡.

Top of the Pops on BBC4
I’m looking forward to seeing ‘The Adventures’ with ‘Broken Land’. I can’t believe that didn’t even reach the top 5. Easily one of the best tunes of 1988. Amazingly despite being the biggest singles act of 1988, Kylie doesn’t even appear live in the studio until July/August with the Loco-motion (I think?). That edition is also memorable for other reasons, can’t wait for that!!

Girl Bands - Top 100 Singles & Top 40 Studio Albums
The lack of ‘Eternal’ output in the list is infuriating! Between 1993-1997 they had such classic discography. Much better than a lot of the spice girls singles. Also I think they were the first girlband in Britain to have million selling album. Easily one of Britain’s best girlbands, and very often criminally overlooked and forgotten.

Chart Battle Replay: S Club 7 vs. Madonna
I’m not surprised S Club7 went to No.1. They were EVERYWHERE promoting that. TV show/The Box constantly playing it. That channel always had exclusives first play. But I prefer Madonna.

Hand On Your Heart ● 30 Years
Random chart fact - on the WK Ending 6 May 1989: "Hand on your heart" was the third single from a female soloist to debut at No.2 (the other two were "The Loco-motion" and Madonna's "Like a prayer"). "Especially for you" doesn't count because Jason Donovan was featured. It 'technically' sold 78,000 copies that week, and would've easily debuted at No.1. But it had 11,000 sales discounted because PWL had the cassingle at £1.99 rp, lower than BPI rules at the time. So because of the cock up sales were reduced to 67,000, against The Bangles "Eternal Flame" selling 69,000 copies in it's fourth and final week at No.1. Kylie hit the top spot the following week with 103,000 copies.

OCC: Robbie Williams Top 40 Best Sellers
"Feel" still sounds amazing! It should be in Top 5. "Rock DJ" was SO overplayed when it was released. Hated it then, still hate now. I have a soft spot for "Tripping". Otherwise, a great selection of Robbie tracks.

Something To Remember - Survivor - FINAL ROUND
What a top 2! 'Live to tell' to win, pretty please.

OCC: Sean Paul's biggest 20 hits
'Temperature' still sounds fresh today. It felt a lot bigger than peaking at #11.

The BRIT Awards 2019
It's exactly 30 years ago today, on 13th February 1989, Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood hosted. I remember the full show was on YouTube a few years ago, but it's long gone now unfortunately. It's a good thing it happened before the social media age!

Something To Remember - Survivor Round 11 - SEMI FINAL
I voted 'You'll see'. A very tough decision though.

OCC: Marina's Top 5 Best Selling Singles
I wish 'I'm a ruin' was on the list! It should've been a much bigger hit. Haunting vocals and a really atmospheric video.
