I still think they could have found a better replacement, someone around the same age at least.

I like Daniella as Sam, and though I cringed at her crying in both Thursday and Friday's episodes I also remember cringing at Kim Medcalfs crying, who seemed to sob with no tears, pout and widen her mouth all whilst hiccing between each sniff. After watching the Sam Mitchell show on BBC3 after Friday's episode I really warmed to Daniella being back on screen. She looks so much better in her own clothes and with her straightened hair, much younger. Daniella said in that show that she went shopping with the costume department and picked the brightest tackiest/slutty clothes she could get as she herself would never wear them but could wear them as Sam who had just got back from Brazil. So hopefully this means that her wardrobe is her Brazil clothes and now that she's back in Walford it'll tone down. A week or two in prison ought to sort out that fake tan hopefully aswell. I was quite shocked when I read that Daniella only returned because Sam needed to put a close to the Den Watts storyline and be a temporary blip for Ricky and Bianca. Does that mean she'll be leaving shortly after she's done her bit in both of these storylines?

Tonights episode of EastEnders had some shoddy acting. I was supportive of Daniella and was giving her time to come grow, but just when I thought she was getting good she did that hilarious performance tonight when she was upset and Peggy's angry-teeth face topped it off. Together their hysterics put on a comedy, also something about Daniella's mouth tonight, it seemed really tight when she was speaking whilst pretending to be upset, words seemed really hard to push through her gritted teeth and tightened lips. Really weird. I hope however in a few weeks when she's bought some of her own clothes (Sam explained that she had a boyfriend controlling her, buying her slutty clothes in Brazil just like Peggy had Archie controlling her and buying her clothes) and her "out of a bottle" tan fades she'll become more of a Sam I remember.

Hit by a truck? That's a little harsh, and anyway a while back Daniella Westbrook did suffer severe facial injuries including her eye being dislocated after a car (going at 80Mph) crashed which flung her through the windscreen and in all fairness to Daniella Westbrook despite this, she looks like a REAL 35 year old, Kim Medcalf looked much younger than her playing age so it was inevitable in comparison Westbrook would look older. I think it's just because I'm used to Kim as Sam because she was most recent, but already I'm warming to Daniella, I just wish she wasn't so "stupid" and her wardrobe wasn't so chavvy. I hope her wardrobe mellows and her orange tan fades quickly.

Hmm... I'm kind of liking Sam Mitchell being back on the square. I totally think that Daniella Westbrook gives Sam the Mitchell name, Kim Medcalf did brilliantly in the role, but like Ronnie she seemed to be more outcasted of the Mitchells as she isn't like the rest. (I love Ronnie don't get me wrong) I do think that they've made Sam appear more of a ditsy blonde now though, when she ran away she did every order Phil and Peggy gave her, she did anything to keep her head down and escape, but now that she's back she seems so rebellious to do so and she keeps doinng things to give herself away, and now she faces even worser charges than when she left so it doesn't make sense. I do however love that they've mentioned a lot of things that happened surrounding the Den Watts murder, though I do feel it is clear that it's just to help jog peoples memories. Charlie Slater being off with her in the pub and Sam saying something briefly about Zoe and Peggy warning Sam to keep her distance when Tracy (who Sam attacked and locked in the bathroom) returns to work on Saturday. I'd loved to have seen a Tracy/Sam "What are you doing here?" instead though, I love Tracy.

Halfwit, I've never seen in all the series I've watched, such an arrogant, creepy, cocky and annoying housemate. I just don't understand him, he gets blinded by his obsession with Bea and makes himself look like a complete idiot.

My official housemates rundown: Lisa - Pretty cool, reminds me of the old housemate Tracey. Makes me laugh with her random dancing. 8/10 Kris - He's an alright guy, he's better hanging with Lisa than with Saffia. 7/10 Karly - I like this girl, she seems alright when she isn't with Saffia. 7/10 Sophia - Best entering housemate, but after that what happened? Housemate status now though... 7/10 Siavash - Initially hated him, but the house needs an annoying person to keep it fun. 6/10 Noirin - Seems really quiet and doesn't appear to join in with the group at times. 5/10 Marcus - "I f*cking love cat biscuits!", classical. But I see him getting more annoying in time. 5/10 Charlie - He's a bit annoying but he does get the group doing something at least. 5/10 Angel - Initially liked her as a bit of a freaky-chic but just creeped me out by sucking that egg, EW. 5/10 Cairon - Doesn't really add anything to the house in my opinion. 3/10 Rodrigo - I find him a bit annoying for some reason, kind of like Sree. 3/10 Halfwit - Dislike his voice, it sounds patronising and I don't like that he agrees with anything. 3/10 Dogface - Marcus, Sree and Siavash just seem to take it in turns each day to touch her boobs. 3/10 Saffia - The first housemate that I really dislike. Bit of a b*tch, and rubs it off on other housemates. 1/10 Sree - Really dislike him, so fake and I don't like that he doesn't understand it. 1/10

Very emotional episode following Edie's death. I really like how they handled killing her off, Desperate Housewives has always been good with that, they have the characters voice-over the episodes in the afterlife which I enjoy, in other things like EastEnders people just die and you never really know what it's like for them afterwards or how they feel about things and people. The last few scenes were very touching, I started to well up when Edie was listing the places in which her friends had scattered her. I'm really pleased with that outcome, I'm glad it wasn't a boring flashback episode, it added alot to her character. Now, can we please have Orson killed off? That tw*t is the cause of trouble on Wisteria Lane!

I read somewhere they asked her first but she turned them down as she had something else on...? Anywho, Daniella was Sam for 10 years running and Kim was her for 3 years, to most of the EastEnders viewers those 10 years mean more than what Kim ever did in the role. Shame, she was good as Sam.

Eh, Kim Medcalf was a good Sam and seeing as I'm only young was really the "main Sam" for me, I only saw a couple of episodes with Daniella in them so I don't really remember her that much. I thought Kim was good but I'm glad they're bringing back Daniella Westbrook, I just think she fits the part better, but I'm not sure if after all these years she'll have the same relationship with Peggy and Phil, I mean, so much has changed. Does this mean Ronnie and Roxy are leaving? Don't you think having four blond bombshells under one roof will be too much? [EDIT] Actually, looking at some more recent pictures of Daniella I think she looks to "old" for the part of Sam, Kim Medcalf could still pull off the "little sister" act when she wanted to, but also was able to have serious and strong, whereas Daniella looks old and if she ever tried to be all "little sistery" to Phil I don't think it'll work.

Thanks, I think. I didn't realise it was that old. :o When it first came out my Mum always used to play the album in the house and in the car. Our favourites were "Take Me Home", "Move This Mountain" and, of course, my entry. ^_^ Heard it again for the first time in ages a few weeks ago, thought I might as well send it.
