    what is the set list?
  3. This song wasn't cancelled, I actually own the physical single. It made the UK top 40.
  4. Hmm thats a hard one. Got all her albums but not sure which tracks are my favourite, there are so many. Ones that come to mind are "Big Time Sensuality", "Joga", "Earth Intruders", "Innocence", "Hidden Place", "Crabcraft", "Oceania", "Mouth's Cradle". Ohhh and "It's in our Hands", gorgeous song.
  5. I actually really like this, kinda cheesy with typical Euro-pop production but still quite catchy. Not keen on their other stuff at all mind, listened to clips from their album In orbit and wasn't very impressed
  6. Have to say I agree, and the backing is a blatant rip-off of Promiscuous. However I do think Luciana is amazing, apparently she's got an album in the pipeline this year. She's also involved with various projects (and could be singing on the next Fedde le grande single) Check out her sites: http://www.lucianaofficial.co.uk http://www.myspace.com/lucianacaporaso
  7. j-jay, you silly thing. Don't you realise that the worse the song is... the MORE people will love it? *cough* CascadaBasshunter *cough* :P

Really good song, can't find the video anywhere though.
  9. Absolutely loving this song, it's so atmospheric and catchy... and Sara Cracknell has a gorgeous voice. The chart's have been needing a track like this! The thought that this will likely be top 10 almost makes me feel less dismayed about the fact Bodyrox are going to flop this week.
  10. This is truly one of my favourite dance songs of the last 5 years (and definitely my most played). The thought that Cascada and Basshunter will have had fairly effortless top 10's with their absolute rubbish, where this will struggle to even make the top 40 despite their last single making no. 2... is thoroughly disheartening. The British music-buying public are idiots.
  11. "And in this increasingly stale and processed pop climate - thank God for a band like Goldfrapp." Couldn't have put it better myself. Personally, the people on this board can keep their Cascada, their Leon Jackson/Leona Lewis and their contrived chart rubbish, this is REAL music.
  12. It's a stunning album, definitely their best. For me Clowns, Road to Nowhere and A+E are among their best tracks to date. Love the cover, captures the mystique and beauty of the record.
  13. Excellent song, still desperate to get the new album
  14. One of my favourite songs from Volta, I know the critics absolutely hated it but I think its very powerful, a bit harsh and genuinely unsettling but thats the effect she was trying to create I think. I'm not sure I agree with your views on Vespertine and Medulla, probably her 2 most gorgeous albums; challenging maybe, but rewarding with persistence and patience. I hated Medulla 2 the first few times I heard it it took me years to give it a chance and finally appreciate it.
  15. Excellent production, ruined by irritating vocals and hideous lyrics.
  16. Er why has this been moved from the Commercial Forum? Stealing too much thunder from the Cascada post I take it? Pathetic.
  17. Could you send it to me please? Have looked around for it but no luck so far, would appreciate it :) A
  18. I heard this earlier today, I think its amazing! So catchy... those are Alison's vocals yes?
  19. Would anyone be willing to send me A&E? (pretty pretty please?) I've been looking everywhere for it but to no avail, I'd be ever so grateful!
  20. Where have you seen her live? Which song was she singing? Each to their own of course.
  21. Although I love every track on the album, my least favourite from that list would probably have to be Mighty Fine. For The Record is amazing, glad it's still there (among the album tracks I mean). Mystified's never really been a popular track, but I actually really like it. I love the lyrics. I wonder if they're about Julian...
  22. You've just listed all my favourite songs from Felt Mountain (well... almost, my favourite track still remains Paper Bag. And yes I noticed that some of their lyrics are quite racy!) Although i loved Supernature, as people have pointed out it was perhaps a little too contemporary and "glam" for their own good, they should have stuck to the experimental electro sound from Black Cherry (still my fave Goldfrapp album) I'm thrilled their new album's out so soon, haven't checked their site in months and assumed we woudln't hear anything till next year. Still to hear A+E though, can't seem to find it anywhere!
  23. I'd have to say I disagree, I've seen them in concert a couple of times and they were incredible! They're renowned for being an excellent live band, their music really comes alive. Can I ask why you think they're awful? Maybe Helen's voice wa s abit strained in the perfomance you watched? She can be very nervous at times (just watch her YouTube interviews lol, she's incredibly sweet though).
  24. Oh wow, I LOVE this band. I'm a huge fan of Symphonic Rock/Metal in general (bands like Lacuna Coil, Leave's Eye's etc) but I'd say that The Silent Force is my favourite album from the genre, its so consistent with not one single bad track on it. The song Memories is beautiful, but seriously the last track on TSF (called Somewhere) is a thousand times better, it makes me feel teary everytime I hear it. Please download it, I promise you won't regret it! Their new album The Heart Of Everything is also excellent, but perhaps a little too Americanised/Commerical for them, I think they may have been under the influence of their new label to come up with something more "radio-friendly", hence the inclusion of louder, more chugging guitars. Would say I prefer their earlier releases though (Mother Earth and Enter). Very strange place to post about this though I must say, but I'm pleasantly surprised anyhow :P
  25. One of my fave songs on the album, gorgeous, poignant lyrics. Remember seeing the original video back when Konichiwa Bitches was releases and being slightly creeped out by it lol, definitely prefer the new version.
