I'm not surprised Missing you is holding up, it's getting a lot of good airplay right now.

The lyrics of alexandras songs are no worse than most other pop singers of late. When it's fun and dancey, it doesn't really need to make sense like a soft, slow, ballad does. Not that i am saying some people can't look to pop for meaningful lyrics but generally, they aren't greatly important. Girls aloud are a good example, loads of people love their tunes but the lyrics are just non-sensical most of the time.

It's selling better than a flop? Hardly a cause to celebrate.

8 tracks is very low for an album, especially when almost half the tracks are from an old album. There is nothing wrong with Missing You, it should have been released as a main single, followed by another single and then a full album (12 tracks or so). I'm amazed the sats fans thought this album would sell well tbh.

Headlines isn't even a proper album, it's ridiculous, they should have released a brand new album or a deluxe version with the extra tracks onto wordshaker. It's very cheap what they have done so i wouldn't be surprised if it sells badly.

It's incredibly catchy this song but i don't like it as much as i first did.

Its a shame the sats only reached no3 but to be honest, they should be thankful it made no3 and sold well. I thought it might struggle to get top 10.

Not looking good for the sats. That acoustic version is awful though, they sound like 5 annoying little girls singing their favourite song sat on the back row of a bus. I like the studio version though.

Actually Flo.rida kind of does deserve it more as he is selling his song on it's own merit without having to push it whereas the saturdays are basically begging people to buy it. Its a difference in opinion but that's what people mean when they talk about songs deserving no1.

I have to agree, songs should get to no1 by popularity of people, not fans multibuying singles.

Hasn't Missing you dropped to no 4 or 5 on itunes now? I highly doubt it will hold on to no1 in the chart come sunday, and it doesn't really deserve it.

Yay for alesha, coxy has it as her record of the week aswell :D Glad katy perry has gone up but to be honest, it was pretty obvious.

Thats a matter of opinion though. MMH is more relevant and real (IMO) and has some quite special lyrics in it.

Christinas new single is not even top 100 yet? Man, she's having a bad era.

Cheryls album will probably be more than a bit delayed as she needs to release it when the xfactor shows are on. It might not come out until Oct 2011 now. Having said that, i wouldn't be surprised if it came out sometime this year as there will be a lot of people involved who want it out before christmas.

But why were they desperate for a no1? So they could go around saying they were no1 selling artists. The truth is, nobody else really cares, to most people it's just a number. Nobody dislikes a song because it got to no2 rather than no1. You wouldn't not buy an album just because the lead single only got to no2 rather than no1.

If you're going to have a proper good Summer single, it should be released early summer like June in the same way Cali girls was (june/jul). Lets face it, sept is late summer and the nights are getting very dark :(

If they had released Ego first, they might have had a no1 (though not definate by any means) but any other single would have likely flopped. Atleast FIO followed by ego ensured 2 hit singles. Two hits are better than a no1 and a flop - ask diana vickers, she would agree ^_^

I really like Happy but i like BEP more and the fact they got 3 no1's from the same album was fantastic.

3.7k lead is not good enough, especially when that will include all the pre-ordered physicals (which i imagine there will be a good 2-3k with an act like the sats). They will probably be no1 tomorrow aswell but come Sunday, unless they gain a big lead on flo rida on itunes, its going to be a no2..... again.

I was thinking that too. Man, that was a good week, so exciting. One way it was different though was that MMH just seemed to get this sudden surge from nowhere and radio seemed to start hammering it all of sudden. I think ultimately, people were amazed how good they were on x-factor and it just really caught on. But of course, everyone expected leona to get no1, i mean its leona. That was a good week :dance:

Wonder if they will hold that all week, i doubt it.
