I think that story was made up. EMI couldn't do this, if a song is chart eligible then it will chart regardless of the wishes of the record company, and why wouldn't they want it to chart? It will be even more promo for the album. The real reason for the exclusion is the fact that the NCQ version was still available at the beginning of the week, therefore the whole weeks sales were made NCQ.

Coldplay should be Top 3

Does anyone know what the official line is with this exclusion? It seems really odd, surely EMI can't decide not to let it chart? This could be the bands first UK number 1 single and is excellent publicity for the album. I will be annoyed if it is the biggest seller this week and not get the number 1 slot :wacko:

Absolutely love it Matt £8.99 in HMV for me. After about a dozen listens, clear for me my faves are Strawberry Swing, Yes, Death & All His Friends, 42 & of course Viva La Vida. All of them are great, maybe unsure on reign of love?? any point? <_< Long live the Kings!!!
