UK Million Sellers Book (November)
It wouldn't be the first time Amazon have stated that a book would be published on a certain date only for it to end up being months later.

Ultimate 1200 Number Ones
The cut-off for this list was extremely difficult as should be in the final. The destination of the -2 was just as problematic, so many songs I utterly detest somehow making it through to this final. Fingers crossed for a decent result now. +30 Gotye featuring Kimbra "Somebody That I Used To Know" +25 Pet Shop Boys “West End Girls” +22 a-ha “The Sun Always Shines on T.V.” +20 Arctic Monkeys “When the Sun Goes Down” +18 Pet Shop Boys “It’s A Sin” +16 Estelle featuring Kanye West “American Boy” +14 Stereophonics “Dakota” +13 Tinie Tempah “Pass Out” +12 Coldplay “Paradise” +11 Gorillaz featuring Shaun Ryder “DARE” +10 Nelly Furtado "Maneater" +9 Will Young “Leave Right Now” +8 Oasis “The Importance of Being Idle” +7 Eminem featuring Dido "Stan" +6 Queen “Bohemian Rhapsody” +5 Gnarls Barkley "Crazy" +4 Blondie “Atomic” +3 Coldplay “Viva la Vida” +2 Frankie Goes to Hollywood “Relax” +1 Blondie “Heart of Glass” -2 Rihanna featuring Drake “What’s My Name”

1979 Top 100
I quite agree, would love some of the younger voters to get involved as it would be great to get a broad range of taste. But, although I'm sure a few would get involved, most would dismiss it without giving it a chance. Personally I love to get involved in any of the votes even when I'm not that familiar with all the tracks as gives me an opportunity to discover something new that perhaps I'd overlooked previously.

1979 Top 100
This is a great list. Always consider 1979 to probably be my favourite year for music, chart music in particular. Every week there would be some new great song (and still great to this day) entering the chart. This sort of ranking list also fits into an idea I've had for a while. The 'Ultimate Series' rating games and 'Record Of The Decade' voting on the main UK Chart Forum have always been great fun and very interesting to correlate every person's differing tastes, but they are more heavily influenced by music from the past couple of decades. I've had the idea for a while of doing my own 'Record Of The Year', in a similar vein to those two voting games, going through the years of 70's and 80's and even the 60's. Trouble is you would need a good amount of people voting consistently to make the game worthwhile and not sure if enough of us would get involved. After the current 'Ultimate Rate of the 1200 UK No.1's', which has been very interesting, has concluded perhaps I will look into this idea further.

Ultimate 1200 Number Ones
Possibly the least predictable results for the final qualifiers. Fully expected Robyn to walk it, so to only be third is a shock. Pleasantly surprised to see White Town qualify, thought I might be the only one to vote for "Your Woman". Disappointed that Tubeway Army slipped into the semi's at the death but pleased that Blur leaped into the semi's at the death. +30 The Specials "Ghost Town" +25 10cc "I'm Not In Love" +22 Tubeway Army "Are 'Friends' Electric?" +20 Blur "Beetlebum" +18 Kraftwerk "Computer Love/The Model" +16 Fugees "Killing Me Softly" +14 M/A/R/R/S “Pump Up The Volume/Anitina (The First Time I See She Dance)” +13 Rudimental feat. Ultimate 1200 Number Ones
Disappointing qualifiers from last list as expected although could have easily have been even worse. Glad "Ashes To Ashes" squeezed through, but criminal that an all-time classic like "I'm Not In Love" only in the play-off. Rather average list to finish off although could have easily have given another 20-30 songs the minor points including the likely run away winner. +30 Tubeway Army "Are 'Friends' Electric?" +25 White Town "Your Woman" +22 Blur "Beetlebum" +20 S Club 7 "Don't Stop Movin" +18 Eddy Grant "I Don't Wanna Dance" +16 Oasis "Don't Look Back in Anger" +14 John Leyton "Johnny Remember Me" +13 Kate Bush "Wuthering Heights" +12 John Lennon "(Just Like) Starting Over" +11 Soft Cell "Tainted Love" +10 The Jam "Going Underground/Dreams of Children" +9 Slade "Merry Xmas Everybody" +8 Cee Lo Green "F**k You (Forget You)" +7 Chicago "If You Leave Me Now" +6 The Honeycombs "Have I the Right?" +5 Rod Stewart "Maggie May" +4 Spandau Ballet "True" +3 Queen "Innuendo" +2 Smokey Robinson and The Miracles "The Tears of a Clown" +1 Right Said Fred "Deeply Dippy" -2 Akon feat. Ultimate 1200 Number Ones
The best list so far, really struggled to narrow down and missed out alot of songs which would have easily gained points in some of the other lists. The depressing thing is seeing the voting thus far. The results, if the voting continues in this vain, will be far and away the most disappointing. Some of the more recent songs which are scoring heavily; do people really believe these are better than some genuine all time classics?, really!! If it's just down to not knowing some of the older songs they really do need to broaden their musical intake. Old git whine over, I'm off for a lie down  +30 David Bowie "Ashes to Ashes" +25 The Boomtown Rats "Rat Trap" +22 10cc "I'm Not in Love" +20 Babylon Zoo "Spaceman" +18 The Jam "Start" +16 The Beatles "Hello, Goodbye" +14 Pet Shop Boys "Always On My Mind" +13 Rod Stewart "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" +12 The Verve "The Drugs Don't Work" +11 Soul II Soul feat. Caron Wheeler "Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)" +10 Alice Cooper "School's Out" +9 The Tornados "Telstar" +8 David Soul "Silver Lady" +7 Take That "Shine" +6 The Offspring "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" +5 No Doubt "Don't Speak" +4 George Michael "Fastlove" +3 Kings of Leon "Sex on Fire" +2 Roxy Music "Jealous Guy" +1 Jim Diamond "I Should Have Known Better" -2 Alexandra Burke feat. Laza Morgan "Start Without You" - how is this scoring???, how? :puke2:

Ultimate 1200 Number Ones
What surprises me is that you seem surprised by this. I agree though, it is a tragedy (no pun intended), but I bet that at the time the majority of the million plus who purchased the Steps cover didn't even know it was a cover. I would have put it down to people not wanting to like a Bee Gees song as it's not 'cool' but the fact it's Steps would surely contradict that thought. Despite some quite diverse voting in general, the list of qualifiers in the end has still been very predictable for BJ. Still, each to their own.............unfortunately :P

Ultimate 1200 Number Ones
Decent set of qualifiers from List 9, apart from the dire J.Lo drivel. Low scoring though, was that due to alot less votes or votes more spread out. List 10 is probably the most ordinary one so far, nothing really exceptional. +30 Oasis "The Importance of Being Idle" +25 Queen "Bohemian Rhapsody" +22 Snap! "The Power" +20 Johnny Kidd & The Pirates "Shakin' All Over" +18 Fugees "Killing Me Softly" +16 Robbie Williams "Eternity/The Road to Mandalay" - not for the bland "Eternity" but the far superior "...Mandalay". +14 Chaka Khan "I Feel for You" +13 The Prodigy "Firestarter" +12 Slade "Coz I Luv You" +11 Madonna "Hung Up" +10 Baddiel, Skinner and The Lightning Seeds "Three Lions" +9 Sinéad O'Conner "Nothing Compares 2 U" +8 Kelly Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne "Changes" +7 ADELE "Someone Like You" +6 Oasis "All Around the World" +5 The Beatles with Billy Preston "Get Back" +4 Gilbert O'Sullivan "Get Down" +3 Suzi Quatro "Can the Can" +2 Marvin Gaye "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" +1 Eiffel 65 "Blue (da ba dee)" -2 Elvis Presley vs. JXL "A Little Less Conversation"

Ultimate 1200 Number Ones
Yep, think this was the list I was dreading. My top 4 could have easily topped many of my other selections. Although the list also contained so many of the songs I absolutely detest. The Special A.K.A. song probably should be listed as "Too Much Too Young" as many may not realise what this actually is. +30 Ian Dury and The Blockheads "Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick" +25 Pet Shop Boys "West End Girls" +22 The Boomtown Rats "I Don't Like Mondays" +20 ABBA "The Name of the Game" +18 The Tymes "Ms. Grace" +16 The Police "Don't Stand So Close to Me" +14 The Beautiful South "A Little Time" +13 The Special A.K.A. feat. Rico "The Special A.K.A. Live!" +12 Coldplay "Viva la Vida" +11 Phyllis Nelson "Move Closer" +10 George Michael "A Different Corner" +9 Enigma "Sadeness (Part I)" +8 The KLF feat. The Children of The Revolution "3am Eternal" +7 George Michael "Careless Whisper" +6 David Bowie "Let's Dance" +5 Slik "Forever and Ever" (not Silk as listed!!) +4 Madonna "Like a Prayer" +3 Blondie "Sunday Girl" +2 Blur "Country House" +1 Commodores "Three Times a Lady" -2 Rihanna feat. Drake "What's My Name?" - :puke2: Possibly the worst No.1 ever, shame as "Take Care" was infinitely better.
