BJSC5 In FSR Rontvia participant confirmation thread...
Sadly, the Kingdom of Waldia had to withdraw from BJSC5, as King James will be paying a 'state visit' to Thailand next week. (Sorry about that, but I will not be here next week - the other half's company is sending him to a business expo in Bangkok for a week, and I've decided to join him. So I won't be able to vote).

BJSC5 In FSR Rontvia participant confirmation thread...
There were 2 very good Japanese songs (Ayumi & Ryuichi) in BJSC3, and neither of them did very well. :( Here's the recap: N0yIuJ2ApFw

What Eurovision song are you listening to?
 Tajci - Hajde Da Ludujemo (Yugoslavia 1990) And it's still one of THE greatest ESC performances EVER!

Dustin lyrics altered
Of course, we won't turn it into a political war. But seriously, I think the Greeks should rename their little province to Our Precious Region of Macedonia and just let the Macedonian country BE! What's next? The U.S. insisting Georgia changes its name to Former Soviet Republic of Georgia? :P

What Eurovision song are you listening to?
At the moment "Vukovi Umiru Sami".

Gooddelta's Review of this year's songs: 2008 Edition
True, the line "Love can catch you off-guard like bad crimes" reeks of classiness. ;) And, once "Era Stupendo"'s (rather weak) 'beat' kicks in, it (like the true class Croat entry) takes moi back a couple of years. Your reviews have made an interesting read, tho' I disagree on most. :)

Erm... she ALSO predicted that the song "will be performed by a sexy singer", which the Croat artists are NOT! :heehee:

This IS interesting. I'd read elsewhere that another famous fortune-teller (who had also been correct before) predicted that the song performed 7th in the Final will win. Oh, I'm a tiger too, btw.

Link for voting
I voted earlier today, when B|H was leading by a MILE. The Bosnian broadcaster site actually has a link to the escnation-poll asking visitors to vote :heehee: - I see they're still Top 3.

VOTE FOR MACEDONIA PLEASE
Oh COME ON! Ask ANY other non-Greek European, North American, Asian, or African where and what Macedonia is, and the answer will be "a country in Europe", NOT a damn Greek province! So, what do you want the topic to be corrected to: "Vote for the Fyromenesian entry please"!? (Oh, and I'm Dutch/Russi btw, not Slavic. So this is not just another reply from a Macedonian).

VOTE FOR MACEDONIA PLEASE
True. :nocheer: Come back Martin Vučić, ALL is FORGIVEN!

Russian entry to ESC 2008!
The guy in my siggy is going to beat Dima in Belgrade! :heehee:
-
Russian entry to ESC 2008!
LOL there's nothing 'gay' about Sergey's performance (apart maybe from his delicious leather pants!) :whip: I've always been a huge SMASH! fan, and believe me, Sergey WILL be back! presenting... :cheer: THE REAL WINNER! :cheer: TPShiuy2-54

Russian entry to ESC 2008!
Wot, with Dima, NO WE DON'T! (Yes Paul, I agree the results were SO fixed, 27-27, 26-26, 25-25, 24-24... it SERIOUSLY was a joke! You would think Russia have moved on in the last 20 years! ) And, There's a HUGE surprise waiting for Dima fans in May, the queen isn't even going to come close to winning (Dima's song is not INSTANT enough, and Western Europe couldn't care less if he's "popular" elsewhere). LOL - a cliché you say?! Dima is the mother of clichés in Russia at the moment!

Russian entry to ESC 2008!
I'm still FURIOUS and shocked about Russia's outcome - in fact, I'm pretty sure I was near traumatised last night when I saw Sergey's result! Dima's song is DULL and nothing but a horrendous heap of GARBAGE - anyone can hear there is hardly a structure in the song. Dear Lord, and WAS Dima off-key during the performance. Now here's something I NEVER thought I would say about ANY ESC entry, but "I do hope FROM THE HEART Dima falls flat on his face in Belgrade!" LOL, and then our Dima-boy CRIED live on national television like the big old sissy-boy that he is (oh, and I'm just as big a poof, but I won't humiliate myself like that)! I'm SO foxing sure the Russian result was fixed - Sergey is just TOO popular in Russia not to have walked away with the public vote! :???:
-
Song length
If a songwriter can't write a good song in 3 minutes he's not worth a penny. Fact!
-
Timbaland in ESC 2008?
Dima's "Number One Fan" was also produced by Timbaland, and it wasn't ALL THAT. I'm still convined that Sergey Lazarev will be the one to beat in Russia - he is immensly popular, AND he has a good song.

Romania
I was nearly TRAUMATISED when I heard "Vorbe Care Dor" had withdrawn - for me it was going to be THE one to beat in 2008. But then the rumor circulated (which appears to be true) that 3SE were approached by the San Marino broadcaster (one of the 3SE guys has Samarinian roots) to submit the song to them (which was why they withdrew the song). It has apparently been recorded in Italian/English as "Words Can Hurt". Can't wait for the weekend when San Marino announces their entry to find out if it's true!
