Emmerdale
cos i forgot her name..... simples. tbh shes been abit of baggage for some time, underused and with no real purpose. i wasnt impressed with her ott screaming, that doesnt equate to good acting, and the storyline was one of the daftest in recent times on emmerdale... it seemed hurried and ill concieved. he supposed to love her, they had been getting on great, it was all in the past, then 1 ridiculous encounter brought it all back? and the cure would be to get away...the two of them? and he rejected that? .... utter nonsense. carry on knocking and bickering with the oldies, noticed how little imput we have now? we will soon be all gone cos we are sick and tired of arguing the toss with children.

Doctor Who - Series 5
probablly the best yet.... i agree with mikey, vintage dr who and without so much noise to hype it up. i remember the silurians first time around though... and im pretty sure the whole mining/drilling thing has been done before... but i liked last nights ep.

ban smoking in cars!
i fully agree that bratts should be kept under control, just been to the shop where some dope of a bloke was oblivious to the fact his kids were in the way of another till whilst playing, then handling goods that were on display... tbh i didnt like roy castle either, but either way the example stands.

ban smoking in cars!
..i didnt say it had zero effect, it contributed but wasnt the sole cause. i hated smokey pubs, id avoid them, now i can go in and enjoy not having my lungs filled with shyte. i find smokers are like dog owners, under the mistaken belief that everybody is not offended by it. smoke in pubs made me physically sick, it blocked my nose, made my throat sore, and had a direct effect upon my health.... look no further then roy castle for just how it can effect you. i then took the stench home with me, so it affected my living space... i find the insistance that i should put up with smoke as offensive as racism, sexism, homophobia, etc etc etc.

ban smoking in cars!
i reckon we will just have to agree to disagree... as a smoker youd like to use the 'evidence' that the ban has shut down pubs... whilst it possibly hasnt helped, to cite the ban as the one and only reason is plain daft. pubs were closing before the ban... it isnt an occurace that became manifest after the ban. so believe what you want, and ill do the same! :)

Coalition programme
the bottom line is for me..... that pikey scumbag should never have been there, he drove from newark with the sole intention of robbing tony martin...no other reason. it may be harsh justice but he got what he deserved whether or not tony martin really was laying in wait. i sympathise with tony martin, as someone who has had thousands of pounds worth stolen from me and the police doing jack $h!t, in tony martins case i can fully understand why he did it. i remain 100% behind tony martin.

funny isnt it, you side with the law on this, yet ignore the law when it comes to the legitimacy of the bnp... <_< theres NO way that tony martin can be aligned with the illegal firearms trade... he is a farmer, he had a gun which like i suspect many farmers, had before the requirement to register it. it was for use on his own property...a sprawling farm in the middle of nowhere. to liken that to inner city gun crime if ridiculous.

ban smoking in cars!
remind me again, how OLD are you?....:P whilst they have had cheaper booze, its reletively cheaper now then at any time before ... its social changes, its the future, we no longer live in the past and liesure time activities have changed. theres more tv channels, especially for sport, id suggest that wall to wall footy on a hd tv and cheap booze has more to do with general pub decline then a smoking ban. i noticed NO adverse affects to the few pubs i frequent for my quizes. i know of not 1 single person in real life or my many aquaintences on the internet (in metal detecting, i know literally over a hundered 'blokes') who actually stopped going to a pub because they werent allowed to smoke indoors.

Emmerdale
didnt think much of the jamie leaving storyline... why wouldnt he take ugly mush if he loved her and had forgiven her indiscretion BEFORE she got with him?... nahhh.. fortunately other storylines are more interesting...

Coalition programme
... would it have made any difference to tony martin if his firearm WAS a legal one?... no... he would still have shot, in the dark, at the scum intuder. im 100% behind tony martin, that pikey scumbag robbing c/unt got whaty he deserved.

ban smoking in cars!
eh?.... you certainly CAN get a facefull of fag smoke outdoors... however, i dont think it should be banned outdoors for health reasons.

ban smoking in cars!
i too know people, clare works in the trade, there is NO one reason why... its down to social changes, changes in attitudes towards our leisure time. i dont agree that theres always been cheap booze on offer... no there hasnt! i remember the 60's and 70's m8... I couldnt get it. todays supermarkets are making it FAR more available. the smoking ban here has made very little impact, the only ones mardy enough to stop going out for a pint cos they cant sit inside to smoke and drink are the idiots who would sooner cut off their nose to spite their face.

i disagree... im pretty bored with 'masoodenders'. however, i think this storyline with sayeed trying to be 'cured' MIGHT be interesting... itll either be a great bit of drama , or total nonsense depending on how its written. could be good in exposing these charlatans. the ben thing is just plain daft.. but i like the mounting tension between phil and lucas.

retro chart... may 1978
the '50's revival' started in 72 with the move 'california man', woody and lynne disagreeing on the way foreward lead to the mve splitting and becoming eol, and wizzard. roy woods wizzard openly courted the commercial charts and produced a string of decent hits, all 50's style. gary glitter, alvin stardust , showaddywaddy, rubettes, mud, etc all followed through the 'glam era'. original teddyboys hated the new glammed up version of rock n roll... that though tended to die out in the mid 70's, i think punk had more to do with its second incarnation then grease tbh... with rockabilly being big late 70's early 80's with matchbox, stray cats, etc.
