for once we are in total agreement....

it gives the tories the upper hand and more bargaining power... they could deliberately push the libs on policy issues and be fairly confident that if it resulted in an election theyd win the overall majority. they might do this just to get a clear run.

hard to say, creations have existed as long as music existed. the earliest group i remember was the monkees and it was quite scandelous that originally they didnt perform 'their' music. that was soon rectified. but by the late 60's there were many acts doing the rounds who were vehicles for a figurehead... love affair for one, which was in reality a steve ellis plus session musician group. the archies are another example... then there was tony borroughs who appeared in several groups even appearing twice on one totp shows in different groups.. so as time went on i guess it was inevitable that some acts would have mime artists heading the product... does it matter? i guess if you like the product youd overlook it..

fantastic night of athletics! :) some outstanding performances, especially the demure jess ennis, and the highlight was mo farah in the 5k.... what a brilliant performance! world class! mo HAS to be sports personality of the year.. i cant see anyone topping his acheivements.

gotta say .... much though i rate emmerdale highly, theres two great bits of nonsense that spoil it.. firstly, nicola cannot just take over a pub. secondly, you cannot just bury someone on your land.. why oh why does that great drama spoil itself with such ludicrous plots? as for nikhil being the worlds most unlikely virgin... im not so sure, why not? it was only a sub-plot anyway, it was only a storyline, and if someone has some moral values in this world i see no reason why he shouldnt play the part of a virgin.

i think its generally accepted, even by die hard s/a/w haters like me that their earlier output was ok, and you are right, the negetive attitude towards them was due to the repetitive conveyor belt of sameish 'music' in the later 80's. as stated, they made manufactured kiddy pop acceptable to a new generation who still hung onto it as they got older. there was very little manufactured pop prior to s/a/w, theres been plenty since... ps mark stevens? :unsure: it was craig mc clachlan who did 'mona' with check 1 2 really?... i dont even HAVE an i pod! :lol: i very much doubt other detractors on here, tip, scott, grebo etc have any s/a/w either.... :lol: nah m8.... i hate them, my guilty pleasures extend to s club juniors/8 who were the firgureheads for some half decent pop which at least did vary a bit.

great performance last night from mo and chris, mo was really impressive when he changed gear and left the rest for dead! in reality though, he has no chance against the africans.

not sure how to respond to this, as everyone here knows my views already.. im all for him being arrested, the catholic church has overseen some appaling abuse especially to children over the years. only yesterday on tv there was a campaigne group of former childrens home kids demanding an apology and recognition for the vile physical abuse they suffered in catholic run childrens homes... often acts committed by NUNS!, like being made to bathe in jeyes fluid!!!!! imagine the pain it could have caused to kids delicate areas, let alone ordinary skin.

well, the fall out from this rather bland storyline is that its given a great opportunity for nicola to be overbearing! great comic moments...

what a complete pratt... he should be made accountable and apologise for that stupid remark.
