i agree, which is why i think like i do about the doctor and cant invisage a black person or woman playing the role! i watched the very first episode, twice actually as uniqely it caused so much controversy it was repeated the next saturday before ep2 was aired. hartnell to me personified my childhood view of what the doctor should be like, although i did like the following 3, troughtron, pertwee and t baker.
  2. you were predicting a safe tory landslide a few days ago... massive majority...

heres the middle clip of the first ever episode, where we get to meet the dr for the first time. i still rate hartnells depiction as the best, rude, aloof, superior... eXsY7AIui6I

im pretty much with mikey on matt smith, im unconvinced and still can hear echos of tennant in his performance. i like the idea of the weeping angels, a malevolant life form that can rest in stone form, move quickly, and are evil... great idea and a refreshing change from daleks and cyberbores. nice to see them getting off earth! historically my favs were always the ones where they interacted on other planets with other life forms (that too was the appeal of 'star trek'). i hope the dr gets off earth more often, and discover more new alien life forms please! i agree it was easily the best of the seriese so far, though im not a fan of alex kingston.
  6. them maths dont add up.... what am i missing?

  11. fair play, i stand corrected :) i presume its the same rufus thomas who did 'the funky chicken' in 70.... abit of an animal fascination!

what? tucker jenkins? pogo patterson? gripper stebson? lol i guess theres only so many kids that are good enough/fit the roles. grange hill over the years has spawned many young actors who have gone on to greater things .... often in eastenders.

tbh i reckon it went off after carla and ange were voted off.... i havnt warmed to the final crew at all. detest those old $h!ts who 'won'... they were the ones that stuck the knife into carla and ange... who were my fav participants... as brendan says "there hands always went up, they were up for everything", which surely what the seriese is about. never mind, 2 more seriese have been commissioned, the first to air this autumn.
  15. i agree, dunno why craig is guessing it so wrong. i dont know anyone whos voting for the tories, people see cameron as smarmy and not a pm. we are heading for a hung parliament, id welcome a lib/dem / labour pact.
  16. nope , havnt heard of it , sounds interesting ps wasnt 'walking the dog' by the dennisons? with former emmerdale actor clive hornby (the late jack sugden) on drums..
  17. i agree imho they seemed to lack individuality, much like alot of recent 'indie' bands.

im exactly the same .... imho each episode ive seen is pretty much the same as the last, only with differing characters.

of course i agree, watching aarons torment has made fantastic viewing.
  20. i dont think ive ever seen the lib dems (or former liberals) having so much power or popularity. yes they have been promising in the past but came nowhere near to their popularity now.

that was awful. it was disgusting... they really are scraping the bottom of the barrel now and shouldnt have treated such an offensive topic in such a cack handed way. more seriese? just what are they planning now 'for laughs'? how are they going to shock us?...

indeed, but it proves nothing. assuming it is a truthfull and accurate account no one should jump to the first conclusion...it must be heaven... you get similar euphoric imagery when you trip, faint, even sleep!
