  1. Yeah ^, but what I'm saying is is that if he wants to take drugs, and if that makes him 'happy'?, then let him. It's his own life he's waisting, and it shouldn't have to affect or bother any of us.

but it doesnt work like that. he doesnt have any effect on me at all, but is seen as a role model by some younger more impressionable people. he has a responsibility to his fans.

  2. I may actually watch a couple of episodes now that the wonderful Charlie Brooks has made a return. She's one fantastic actress and she reminds me of Diana Rigg looks-wise!

    Norma

a second rate diana rigg look alike...lol.. rigg had class, brooks has ... character, dont get me wrong, brooks is very good and is one of the best characters in recent years. they should bring her back instead of that screaming ginger bint.

  3. if you don't like eastenders why do you come into this thread?

I don't like corrie or emmerdale but never go into their threads and slag it off

Btw what do you mean by proper acting job?

you need to get a life mate

obviously you have nothing better to do then watch something you hate and slag it off in a thread

what is it with some of you?

dont you understand the concept of discussion?

since when has it been a 'love' thread? BJ is a forum for discussion, to air and compare differing points of view. i was a fan of ee before you were born, ive seen many of the great episodes therefore im more then qualified to have an opinion on this thank you very much.

i find bianca irritating, not only were they re-writing her original entrance but theres very heavy overtones of the 60's classic 'cathy come home'... oh ask yer grandparents! . theres only so much of that screaming bint that you can call 'entertainment'.

they should have created a new interesting character rather then ressurecting that one.

  4. I use to rant about him ages ago, but..

If he wants to do drugs, then just let him. If Wino wants to get smashed of her head, then let her. The Rock N Roll industry has been drug filled for the last 60 years, and some of the worlds greatest music was written, composed and performed when the artists where off their head. So erm, yeah.

not only music..... some of the greatest ever literary pieces of work from alice in wonderland to great poetry was heavily influenced by composers high on opium.

then theres classical music, again many great composers used drugs for inspiration... so drugs in music/arts aint owt new.

  5. That poor kid, she'll be in care now until shes an adult, and all the while she'll be blaming herself no doubt, I dont know how people can be so selfish to their kids, its awful.

actually shes possibly better off in care, her stepdad has child porn on his pc.... imagine what may have happened if they hadnt try to pull this idiotic stunt.

  6. I just hate the b**ch! For a female prime minister she did less for women than any leader before or since. And I'll never forget that speech she did on a staircase after one of her wins "and we must do something about those poor inner cities" - if she'd have had her way I'm sure she'd have just nuked them.

I feel an affinity with Stephen Tomkinson's line in Brassed Off, something like "what kind of world is it when John Lennon is dead and Margaret Thatcher still lives". I must dig that one out again ... brilliant film!

This is just my personal opinion though!

    Norma

    i love it!

interesting though in all seriousness to hear a womans view on thatcher, especially one who was adult under her (as opposed to some young bint who was taught about her at school).

  7. am i the only one fed up with al-fayad?

in the box he said he would accept the verdict, now its out hes considering taking it further. he still insists that the royal family (a family of vampires) is behind their murders.

isnt this treason?..... in a court of law after ten years theres not 1 shred of evidence that it was murder, and he still calls the royal family murderers. im not fan of the royal family, but this blokes getting on my wick . deport the cunt.

  8. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be....but then again I like Ade so might be slightly biased!

Was never going to be brilliant, it is on ITV after all....

couldnt agree more  .... if it wasnt ade in it i wouldnt watch it... but its 25 years since ade was at his best in the comis strip and of course the young ones. 'vyvian' was a brilliant character creation and ade executed his role brilliantly.

  9. I missed the program unfortunately but certainly think mass immigration from particularly Eastern Europe is a bad thing for this country both in demands on the infrastructure of this country (houses, roads, transport network, schools, hospitals) and on our cultural identity, I welcome SOME immigration in the sense that I always welcome high quality hard working overseas professionals coming here but our cultural identity and traditional British way of life is going to be more and more eroded for the indigenous population unless the country says enough is enough and we only let in qualified professionals as opposed to the peasants, gypsys and nomads that seem to be flooding into this country from Eastern Europe.

i think most people would agree with you on this.

my particular gripe is with people coming into this country and are taking out of the welfare system without ever puting anything into it... why tf should I pay for some foreign bint to have her baby here? (its bad enough paying for our own chavettes which i also resent) or to house people who chose to come here?... why should i work to support them?.

but we cannot have an open doors policy, wether we are in europe or not. this country is simply too small.

  10. The Daily Star reported that this was a sham and they copied the idea from Shameless!!!! The family organised it all.

Please note that I wasn't actually reading the Daily Star. Someone else bought it in work and we were all reading it

 i heard that on the radio!!!!!

  11. You can't be old enough to remember Callaghan then

Healey having to go cap in hand to the IMF to bail us out of a financial crisis, hyper inflation, 3 day week, industry like cars paralysed by strike action, dead unburied, rubbish piled up in the streets, green goddesses, power cuts, the Callaghan period left Britain a banana republic in as big a f***ed up state as the worst excesses of Africa or South America economically, Britain suffered far far worse under Callaghan than under Maggie

Maggie had to take some tough measures to get Britain back on its feet, they were necessary at the time as Britain went from a country full of lame duck bankrupt manufacturers propped up by taxpayers money to a dynamic service and retail economy, sure there was a few sectors of society that did not do as well under Maggie as others but she encouraged get up and go, she encouraged enterprise, she encouraged people to set up businesses

She was unlucky she had a global recession under her watch (USA inspired) but when she left power we had gone from being European version of Panama and the "sick man of Europe" to the FOURTH most powerful economy in the WORLD so even if some did not do so well out of her no one can deny her achievements in turning round our economy

Basil Fawlty summed up British industry under Labour in the 70's perfectly - "The British Leyland Concerto in four movements, all of them slow, with a four hour tea-break in between."

....... and before callaghan (and breifly wilson) there was heath... 3 day weeks, rampant inflation, blackouts, etc etc etc started with heath. and it was under heath that thatcher stopped free school milk. thatcher the milk snatcher... 70's rot started under tory rule, and it was the tories that steered us into europe without a referendum. ultimately its the tories fault that we are now infested () with eastern europeans

  12. You yourself took advantage of the climate of enterprise that Maggie created

I saw on Net-Weather that you have been self employed for 22 years which is right bang in the middle of the Maggie era so you yourself took advantage of the culture and climate that she created, also you have said before that you have contracts with schools for your work, again that is down to Maggie putting services out to private tender, I don't know your financial circumstances it is none of my business but I definitely feel from those 2 things you listed that Maggie was not all bad for you financially and work wise

I have not approved of everything she did, I did not like her attitude towards homosexuality, I thought her "there is no such thing as society" comment was ill judged, I thought the poll tax while good idea in theory was dreadfully handled but overall I would say she was 80% a great PM and 20% not

you are incorrect, i have been self employed since 1990, july 8th. thats 18 years. however it is true that i have contracts with schools that is possible because thatcher gave schools the power to hire and fire who they want (lms). but school contracts are just one fawcet of my business, i also do industrial sites and the vast majority of my work is for domestic premises. id be running a successful business without schools, they are just one more customer.

  15. ch4's dispatches last night was very good, highlighting the negative effects this recent mass migration here has caused. not only 'white middle class indiginous whites' but second and third generation blacks/asians are resenting the recent eastern european influx, the biggest in uk history.

a million polish here?... thats 1 in 60!!!! thats a huge burden to place on this countries infrastructure BY THE ONES WHO ARE NOT PAYING TAX.

if they pay nowt in...they should get nowt out.

  16. Well what a surprise, the jury have put 2 + 2 together and come up with 4.

It isn't a whitewash. The conspiracy theorists will never be happy because they cannot understand that sometimes the most logical reason for something happening is actually the truth.

No "accident" is really an accident - there is always a reason, and in this case there were several:

    1. Drunk chauffeur.

    2. Chauffeur driving too fast.

    3. Paparazzi chasing car, spooking chauffeur driving vehicle he was not used to driving on a known traffic accident hotspot.

    4. Occupants not wearing seatbelts.

If any one of these things had not happened, Diana and Dodi would probably still be alive, but the most "controllable" one is number 4, the wearing of seatbelts - if they'd been wearing them, they almost certainly would have survived, and probably not even that badly injured. Remember the nearest point of impact to the pillar was on the front passengers side where the bodyguard sat who was the only survivor, probably because he was the only one wearing a seatbelt.

Not exactly rocket science, but a waste of £10 million of taxpayers money, and Al Fayed is still saying it was murder. Yet he dragged out this case for so long that he is no longer eligible to be sued for damages under British Law. Or is that just a conspiracy on my behalf.

No doubt Al Fayed will blame the FA for conspiring against him when Fulham get relegated from the Premiership.

tbh i think this summs up the thread perfectly, i dont think theres anything else to add.

  17. If only she could be Prime Minister again :(

But the fact she is held in so much regard and affection by the British public shows that she is not this brutal fascist dictator that some (Russ and Scott for instance) make her out to be

take your blinkers off.... the sun NEVER DID shine out of her arse.

thatcher i conceed, WAS the most contraversial post war pm... but wether or not she was the best is clearly open for debate as for every seemingly good policy she oversaw, there was a bad policy. thatcher was good for a certain sector of the population, she did lead from the front, compared to the fallen angel (blair) and the grey grumpy clothesbags (major, brown) she came across as a leader and not the lead.

would she win an election now?..... who tf can say? you vote for the policies and not the person and as todays labour policies are pretty much thatchers 80's policies then theres no comparison.

but she WOULD have gone to war in iraq and afghanistan.

  18. as i suspected, it looks as if this dumb crew has tried to do a 'maddy' in an attempt to get money for themselves. a 'find shannon' fund...

how bloody thick are they? fancy doing a thing like that if you have kiddy porn on your pc!!!!! morons.

  19. Its no big deal to me

Are Brits any different when they go and live in Costa Del Sol ? no, they form communities of ex pats and live and mix among their own so why should it be any different from say Brixton for blacks, Southall for Asians, Golders Green for Jews and so on ? it is human nature to live and mix among your own

And anyone who has been to Melbourne would know that Lygon St Italian quarter is a great asset to the city as is Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown and so on

nowhere in this country should be 'no go' areas for any other british citizen. theres no comparison to the areas you mention.... spanish are no excluded or even unwelcome from areas in spain for ex-pats.
