that bruce was a completely vile creature.... there was no reason to go off like that, he was righly booted off the show. he must have been the nastiest gay guy ive ever seen ....
  9. indeed they are the two most outstanding of recent years for me ..LOVE them! dunno whether id include robyn in a dance chart personally... certainly 'with every heartbeat' was utter class and is one of my all time favs.
  10. a cross between 'doop' and 'your woman'?.. both using a 1920's style sound/sample? doop i always thought of as very 'charleston'... ok peggy lees track was 50's but on this it could pass for older especially with the 20's referance. i like it because its abit different...

actually... i dont agree! car insurance ads are awful, brokers are all sharks out to screw you should you have the audacity to try to claim, at least with butter you pays your money and consumes the product.
  12. perhaps you dont understand the term 'reletive' . as in there has been no invasions of foreign peoples (albeit when there was they were from the same gene pool) and our culture and society has grown. yes there has been troubles over the years, but that hasnt stopped us growing as a nation and id strongly argue that its the past conflicts that have made us stronger .... but you hate the english anyway <_< as stable as the indian sub continent? well thats great seeing as they are recognised as a race! you make it sound like britain was the only country to suffer internal upheavals... IT WASNT.
  13. how odd ..... this time i only got 324, but was alot quicker then my first time.. reckon its bollox but i quite like the questions... not got one wrong yet! i even recognised the pretty things!
  14. ... but nobody has denied that! the general agreement is that british kids/bands are more likely to connect to what british bands are saying rather then american ones. simply because we live in the same country under the same way of life. ie the jam speaks more about the things that affected me then what nirvana did. and the response was to you denying that there was no such thing as british music, earlier in the thread... ""Quintessentially British"?? Nah, not a bit of it... " ..... beat boom? glam? new wave? britpop? new romantics? hell even ROCK.
  15. 333 .. got em all right but was abit slow.

  17. in 1833?... they could have taken the islands easily. a thousand years of reletive cultural stabilty would suggest otherwise.
  18. ...i need time to do this.. which i havnt got atm.
  19. not sure what youre getting at.... yes of course brits have drug/mental probs, so? not all of us do! are you suggesting that only druggies 'get' nirvana? nah...just another excuse to knock british/english ... weller might be a twat, but theres nowt wrong with the general gist of what he supposed to have said. british acts should have more resonance with british public then american.. not exclusive, just more. in fact, im struggling to think of any american track by anyone who has had much resonance with me on a personal level...

ive gone off nights in white satin, its too slushy for me now, but i like 'question' more...
  21. was it?.... they all gave it the blah blah blah before hand. i dont think it was scripted, those that worked were clearly inferior workers to the immigrants ... im not saying it was particually factual, but as an example. the employers backed up the premis, they employ immigrants because they work hard for low wages.
  22. yes i saw it , it was on bbc1. the programme perhaps wasnt exactly 'fair', but either way, it showed exactly why immigrant workers get low paid jobs here. because 1) they are prepared to WORK , and 2) even the lowest wage here is better then what they get at home. out of the 12 who got 2 day jobs, only half finished (a quarter didnt even start). it started well, with all the usual guff 'dey tekkin our jowbs'... but the reality of this experiment was that very few were really prepared to work, and those that did were second rate. if i was a grower in east anglia, who would i employ?... on that showing, immigrants.
  23. i like ken clarke, at least he appears to be mature enough to run the country, he IS a credible leader and possible pm. cameron simply isnt, if he was the tories would win the election by a landslide ...just like thatcher and blair did, cameron wont. in fact the votes he gets will be mainly protest votes against browns recent financial troubles and not because cameron is a young dynamic believable minister.
  24. ... so for 150 years they couldnt give a damn?... and as ethan rightly says, they arnt exactly a true race themselves are they! if theres no oil the only ones calling for the return of the islands are the beligerant. if they wanted them they could easily have took them from 1833 onwards.
