what a complete t***.
busted and mc fly ARNT boybands, they are (were) POP GROUPS. he more then anyone should know that ffs. how tf can he lump guitar groups who DO perform live (their own material too) unfavourably to those puppets he commands?..
how come the term 'pop group' is out of fashion? it fills perfectly to gap between boyband and rock group.. which is exactly where busted and mc fly sit!
im not a fan of busted or mc fly, but i do like their attitude to music, young lads bashing hell out of their instruments and having fun! THATS what pop music has been about since the beatles !

The danger lies in people forgetting the past. If people forget about Nazi Germany is far too easy for it to happen all over again.
erm, so you think we should have gollywogs so we dont forget the past?...
i dont agree about 'intent' either, emily on bb called charley a n***** with no racist intent...but it still WAS racist. (or was deemed racist). lets all have these offensive charactures then because we dont mean to be offensive.... <_< , trouble is.... they ARE.

A right wing paper like the Sunday Telegraph is always gonna try to sell you the line that a more restrictive society is "good" for you. Don't fall for it.
but you can only have a more liberated society if the populace can be relied on not to abuse the freedom. sadly this isnt the case where feral gangs of youths are doing exactly what they want to regardless of the consequences to others.
what bothers me most is... how tf are they going to reverse this slide towards anarchy? punishments just dont work.

You asked if drugs were such a bad thing. Maybe not in the 18th/19th century, but in the present day almost certainly.
yeah i was highlighting the benefits we enjoy as a result of drug abuse! i certainly wouldnt argue that in todays world theres any benefits at all, au contraire, id suggest that drugs are at the root of most crime.
-
we are on a slippery slope towards anarchy, the increase in murders of gang members amongst the young and turf wars highlights this decline. the blame? no one thing, its a general deterioration of moral standards in society that is to blame, (but id start with thatcher...lol).
you wont curb this slide without an overall shift in society, less headonistic, more responsability for ones own actions, greater respect, probably a total reverse of everything that the rock n roll generations have successively embraced! lol.

But then that would also be a couple less dealers making money on this, and a little less support for an economy which at the more extreme end also provides illegal substances to kids, helps create drug gangs, etc.
i was talking about 18th/19th centuary writers/composers m8.... not todays world where money and drugs are readily available through crims..
