I've nicked this from Radio 2's Steve Wright in the afternoon show, but it is also true:
We are cursed and it is not the fault of Global Warming or climate change but due to a record = Rihanna's Umbrella which due to its lyrical content is not only a great pop record but also a curse.
The last really good day of weather was on Sunday May 13th.
Rihanna's Umbrella was released as a download on May 14th. It went to #1 on downloads alone that Sunday.
Since it has been at #1 the weather has been rubbish.
Therefore the only way that the weather is going to improve is if Rihanna's Umbrella starts falling down the chart.
:D
PMSL..... i noticed that too! i told clare yesterday that i hoped her follow up single is called 'endless sunshine'....lol.

scott... what i was trying to do is consider the ramifications of having people, proffessional people working amongst us, people who we trust, that could be plotting to kill us. it aint about tabloid headline c**p.. i dont read 'em! i dont think the local curry house is going to poison us...lol.. but im highlighting the fact that bombers arnt always some shadowy figures skulking in the shadows on the edge of society.

Can I ask why do you think its awful? there voices? what is it?
course you can...
i never liked the original, it was totally ott power ballad tripe, so i doubt if anyone could produce a decent cover of this poor record. however i cannot abide westlife, i dont agree that they have that gooder voices at all. i dont like karaoke singers, manufactured puppets, pretty boys sitting around on stools singing in essence what is the same song over and over again. fortunately for me, i grew up in an age where pop music was eagre to try out differing styles, where youth culture was rich in ideas and innovation. ... :)
lol.. things were better in the good old days !
thats my view, i realise many here wont agree but im not going to debate the issue, it really isnt worth it!

so.... all of these arrested people work in the nhs! 4 of them are doctors! i mean... how tf does THAT equate?... how can you train for years to become a doctor, saving lives, relieving pain, then plot to kill, maim and hurt innocent people?
but think about it.... wont it promote distrust and fear? wont it make it hard to trust other muslim proffessionals?... what about the beloved curry? can we trust it aint poisoned?... extreme views? well i dunno, many more attacks like these and its going to make life here for 99.9% of law abiding muslim/asians very difficult.

And some people are saying they want nice genuine and intelligent housemates, look at what happened with BB4! worst series ever -_-
i wouldnt call bb4 contestants genuine or particually intelligent. they were 'safe'. but i guess it depends upon what you want to see on your box.... screaming gob$h!tes like charley? i prefer that tickle guy, he was amusing without being loud and obnoxious.
-
I agree. Ziggy is clearly very intelligent but hes playing a game and it makes it harder to tell who is being fake with etc.
If Laura goes it'll be total ridicule - getting rid of everyone who's funny, or interesting.
well it is a game, so having a game plan doesnt offend me. the manner of the housemate is what matters.
strangeboy.... charley, laura, funny? interesting?.. :P

rob, what is your opinion on housemate chanelle and housemate ziggy?
tbh i havnt really got one! chanelle has gone down (but was never high) in my estimation, those stupid diaryroom hysterics are just childish. ziggy is ok, i was impressed that when he entered the house he took the trouble to talk to all the housemates individually. he is intelligent too, however im not sure that id trust him. i believe he thinks hes got a good chance of winning. chanelles probably the easiest on the eye, until she speaks.... ziggy doesnt offend me but i dont think that much of him.

interesting chart... the back end of the 'britpop' boom with some goodies in there, the verve, cast were good. 'modern r&b' as we recognise it was stating to make an impact, puff daddy at #1.
the golden age of dance was very well reprisented too.. with some early classics... olive, dj quicksilver and sash! but my fav here is the age of love 'the age of love', superb track :)
