the guys might well be born here, but in terms of history they are far too recent to be thought of as 'true brits'.... that isnt surprising really is it! the celts fought the romans, then the saxons, the saxons fought the danes, the unified saxon kingdom fought the french (normans) and each successive invasion took many many years for the new wave of ex soldiers turned settlers to be accepted as 'brits'. the animosity between the saxons and french normans still is prevelant within the class system... its still there after a thousand years!

integration between asian and afro caribean peoples was NEVER going to be smooth, no matter how pc we all are.

i dont think that many white englishmen have much of a problem with anyone who plays the game, who works, follows this countries rules (and there are plenty that do)... 'we' as it were do have a huge problem with immigrant legal or otherwise, who come here to scrounge of our welfare system... and this goes on! BUT 'our' vitriol isnt aimed only at those peoples... but at ANY scroungers... fat scummy chavs included.

Actually, I think having her "spirited away" in a foreign country is in many ways a better plan and easier to execute... Personally, if I was of the mind to do something like that, it would be as far as possible from my own backyard where everyone knew me....

 

And, why is it just so unbelievable that these two might have done something like this, there really are just so many things not right about this whole thing... I walk up Upper St near every day and the VAST majority of people there are white. By the Green its the same! Its not until you're in Hackney and Stokey/Newington Green you meet the "minorities".

 

And guess what, they actually have some of the poorest quality housing I've ever encountered.

the first time i crawled through islington i was surprised by the number of ethnic food outlets and the lack of 'johnny english'... maybe they all hid when i went there! lol..

As for the whole "Christmas Decorations" thing, well, I dont think you have to be a devout muslim to have serious objections to the fact that the fukkin' things seem to get put up in shops and streets earlier and earlier every sodding year..... <_< I find it incredibly offensive personally, to have Christmas rammed down my throat in sodding OCTOBER before we've even had Halloween!!!!! But I suppose it's okay for me to object innit...? Being an indigenous white person and all.....

im telling you what i saw and what i was told.... 05 there was NO crimbo lights up in islington.

the point is that muslims are an insular group, ok, gotta be expected, but they have strong unified views on religion... this fuels their belief in their chosen system of living.... fair enough.. but.. this will lead to trouble as this minority (but vocal) group try to change laws of the land. they may be 'no trouble', but their views on women and homosexuality are archaic. we have moved on from that... largely... i see this area as a scource of future conflict, and it is a problem for the indiginous population.. us whites.

No, because unlike Austrailia and the US, we are not an artificial nation construct... This country has thousands of years of history that Oz and the US simply hasn't... These are countries built up on immigration, so if one bunch of immigrants wants to follow their own set of rules in US or Oz, then I think they should be allowed to, because these nations are constructs like I say, they wouldn't even exist as nation States without the outside European influences.. So, there is really no reason why another national influence cannot take root in these States as far as I'm concerned... And geographically, Australia and New Zealand are closer to Japan and SE Asia than Europe anyway.... On another thread you basically said that The Falklands should "belong" to Argentina due to its geographical location which puts it close to Argentina/South America.... I see no reason why a Japanese/Asian influence cannot be allowed to flourish in Australia....

 

And I totally disagree with you that things have "moved on"... We've seen examples of US Imperialism/Colonialism in Afghanistan and Iraq... And before this in Grenada, Vietnam and Panama... And I would argue Puerto Rico as well. It wears a different disguise now, and is a lot more subtle, but it is Imperialism nontheless.... The major difference being that it is Multinationa Corporations that are directing it, with Presidents and Prime Ministers being mere puppets....

oz n america might be built on immigration, and they are much younger nations then us... but there is now an established system of government and its up to them and the populace to determine their laws.

I live/exist in Islington and I've heard nothing/seen nothing about Christmas decorations being removed. Islington doesn't even have a large Muslim community :lol:

my daughter was living there two years ago and thats what happend at crimbo, and sure enough when i went down to collect her at crimbo there were no lights up.

well im not a fan of his at all, but in this case he is spot on. ANY person wanting to relocate in another country should be expected to follow the laws of that country... or not bother coming. there is no simularity between todays world and the empire days of george and victoria... that was dodgy at best, wrong by most peoples judgement (but in saying that, we are judging it by todays standards, we have moved on a long way since then but maybe by victorian standards it was a perfectly legal act).
