Well surely they would still exist, as the animals would still have babies. There just wouldn't be as many because humans wouldn't be overbreeding them.
most speciese of cattle wouldnt exist, the nice big black and white freisan cows were created by selective breeding , as were pigs and all other agricultural animal crop. the countryside without animals would look completely different, animals are only there because they are a financial product, they arnt pets, they arnt wild.

I obviously wouldn't because I don't eat meat anyway. But I couldn't imagine eating a horse. I'd feel really guilty.
I still don't get how some animals were put on this planet just for eating, surely every living creature was made originally (not like nowdays where they are bred purely for food) to just live?
interesting concept... i guess in a way you are right. animals didnt evolve as a food scource for us but as grazers of vegetation to keep plants in balance. however we evolved to be able to cross breed animals in order to create a food scource as we were designed by god or mother nature to meat meat and plants. if we didnt eat meat then many animal speciese would not now exist... no cows, no pigs, a very unappealing countryside!

I was a mid-teen in '87/'88 though mate.... Atrocious years for decent Pop Music.... Charts were full of Kylie and Jason and loads of other Pete Waterman sh!te..... <_< I was listening to Goth and Thrash Metal dude.....
you are the exception! lol, most people rate the best era in music as the one where they got into music, around 16... (probably lower these days)

LOL but yeah lambs and sheep are only on this earth to be eaten they are not pets etc would be long since extinct but for their role in the food chain, horses have been on this earth to fight in wars and plough fields and pull funeral carriages and be raced around race tracks etc a horse has a long standing history as man's faithful servant so to me is non eatable :)
seeing as the horses role in fighting wars, pulling carriages etc is now defunct i presume that if horses were bred for food and nothing else youd eat it!
-
Certain animals are just not meant to be eaten on the grounds that they are cute, I want to imagine horses as running free in a field mane glistening in the sun I don't want to imagine it on a dinner table same goes for cats and dogs and that is why we don't eat elephants and tigers and so on.
I simply could not eat horse meat there is not the same emotional attachment with pigs and cows and sheep
oh per-leeze!
you sound like a little girl.... horse meat is a food that can be eaten. i dont see any reason why not. anyway i much prefer cows to horses any day!

you could look at it as the culmination of what punk started, after which it went steadily downhill. but what was the legacy of '84?.... it wasnt a year noted for inovation. record sales equate to popularity and not to musical creativity. nope... i stand by what i said... the culmination of what punk started with many good pop tracks, but from a creative/fashion perspective it was an also ran.

What do you mean? Was she really fake? .. tbf she has lived in places like LA all of her life, it is her parents fault that she has turned out the way she has.
i dont agree (about it being her parents fault)... has she or has she not got a brain? can she not THINK for herself? is she or is she not an ADULT? .... there comes a time in life where you stop being someones kid and become an individual, free thinking adult.
she was an image, she IS an image, these 'celebs' are almost a characatuer of themselves. what has she achieved? what will she achieve? what USE is she?..... all that money and privelidge squandered on nothing at all....
im not a religious person, but sometimes i wish that we did have to answer to the almighty for the way we chose to live our lives......

yeah madonna 'la isla bonita' was good, and johnny hates jazz were decent enough pop too.
eric clapton..........................'behind the mask'
robbie neville.......................'c'est la vie'
vester williams.....................'once bitten twice shy'
but things were going downhill...... fast.... the old punk generation were now moving on and the door was opening for a new wave of pop...... bolloxpop! the begining of talentless manufactured sounds...... oh how i hate pete waterman :)
-
thought this was madonnas best year, loved her material, 'borderline' and 'open your heart' excellant.
my favs
talk talk..................'lifes what you make it'
belouis some...........'imagination'
its immaterial..........'driving away from home (jims tune)'
genesis..................'land of confusion'
wham!...................'edge of heaven', which was my fav track of the year, superb 60's sounding melodic ... wham at their very best.

it all depends if they are saying it as a generalisation, or as a personal opinion, i thought they were saying the latter in which case be it right or wrong its vallied. id sooner someone give an honest opinion on something they say something they dont really believe just to be 'in' 'hip' or 'right'.

I suppose though its better than hearing the likes of 'Akon' etc which have NO emotion in their music as
its all explict, so whilst many of us despise Scooch at least their music has some meaning and 'fun' instead of
degrading women and encouraging the slags.
but neither do scooch (emotion), but whilst alot of 'r n b' is as you say, it doesnt make scooch any more palatable... its still utter c**p, and does nothing for uk music.
-
actually scott... i think nightmara is right here. they are allowed to like whatever appeals to them at this moment in time. maybe their tastes might get more sophisticated, maybe not (mine didnt...lol), but if they are getting pleasure in an honest way, out of a particular style of music then good for them!

dunno what the problem is... frankie and calvin sung the verse, everyone sung the chorus... simple.
it was a poor effort though, as a track as most of their material was good enough pop, for a manufactured band anyway.
so what if they lips sync? they are/were 15? 16? when professionals like britney and madonna do it then you cant criticise some kids!

Atheists go on the political offensive in God-fearing US
in News and Politics
bloody good luck to them! thats really good news that in a country that appears so driven by fundamental idiots... sorry, i mean christians that an oposing view of COMMON SENSE is at long last making an appearance.
i worry about any group of people who believe that 'god is on their side'... thats the ideaology thats killed millions of people throughout history.
richard dawkins 'the god delusion' was screened on ch4 last year, in it he challenged various religious leaders about their faith. chillingly they all seemed to believe a doctrine that they believed was 'the truth' and it was backed up by nothing more then a 'holy' text. he did a brilliant hatchet job on christianity, showing it up for what it is.... nonsense. he was worried (quite rightly) that freedom to believe wtf you want to is getting in the way of scientific facts. believing in something doesnt make it a reality...
tbh i dont agree with 'i can believe what i want to'... it worries me that so many believe in nonsense of one form or another, just because it seems like a nice option... the bottom line is, whatever your point of view on anything, it has to be based on sound science, facts and indisputable truth.
