I'll agree with that. Its currently in my top 3 favourite albums ever. (Christina's Stripped and Bey's I am..... Sasha Fierce being the others :wub: )

Deserved because the Album is stunningly brilliant. It needs more than 1 or 2 listens to really appreciate and then it just keep growing.

i've added a yes/no poll to the request for Alicia forum so I'll leave it up to you guys here in RnB to decide whether we need one or not of whether its worthwhile in terms of whether we would use it.

I only just found this RnB forum (thanks Jonjo Gleek ). Didn't know where there was any AK chat and had just put in an Alicia forum request. Just a thought ? To honour her first UK #1 album ? Don't want to detract from the RnB forum so maybe we shouldn't have a seperate one for Alicia. Perhaps you guys could post comment on the request thread whether you agree or not. i didn't say it wasn't brilliant, zany, original or that she wasn't worthy of 1.5 million sales etc. I like all kinds of different music (GaGa's included)and even artists and music I don't like I can respect. The diversity of music is what keeps it interesting and entertaining. my pun at Lady GaGa's expense was just due to Ke$ha and her sales being mentioned together and someone suggesting Ke$ha's was based on looks. beauty is in the eye of the beholder remember :P

got that too. love LeLe but tbh the book is a bit overloaded with pictures and lacks any real, new, insight into her 'journey' from secreary/pizza waitress to megastar. Still a really nice book to have though. Apologies everyone if I've strayed off topic !! :unsure:

If IaSF is not to have anymore singles from it then it seems logical that Alicia releasing a duet with Bey during spring would make sense. Fingers crossed.

agree with you there Six. i didn't much like Videophone. Scared of Lonely one of the best tracks on the album. highly recommend her live DVD I Am....... yours. Brilliant live versions of all the best tracks of Ia.....SF

Sadly no they not doing another one :( Thats just me being dim and putting a line from the song as the title :blush: hope she release it over here as next one too, could be huge or at least push the album back up high in the charts (assuming its not still #1 by then :P ) Mind you I'd be happy with almost any song from the album tbh

winning a shelf load of Grammy's probably helped. Deserved of course cos she is Awesome (deliberate capital A). Alicia + Beyonce = "say you love me". Want to see them perform that together, hope it gets a single release. :heart:

Alicia for #1 :cheer: would be richly deserved as Element of Freedom is a stunningly beautiful album. :wub: maybe it could have been #1 last week too if shops hadn't run out of copies.... I tried 3 different shops before I found a copy ! And that was the last one too !! how many copies behind was she last week ? anyone ?

Leona comes in for lots of stick because she was part of the menacingly dangerous cowell machine that unleashes havoc upon the UK every year :rofl: Echo is a brilliant album, just takes a few more listens than her ealier stuff to really appreciate it. think people call them 'slow growers' ?

Spotted the upset Oasis fan :lol: We had a bunch of upset Snow Patrol fans last year but at least they had the sense not to suggest Leona can't sing. Get your ears checked Paul. :P

Please enlighten us Six ? who has influenced GaGa (apart from Freddie of course who she is a pretty close female version of !!) And who is Christina's big influence ? i have her down as having many influences and deliberately choose some for her Back to Basic album to highlight the brilliance of music back in the day :wub:
