Lift Me Up

why the confusion ? You've answered your own question regards Alicia...... she's high up because she is SO TALENTED !! (As her videos should keep reminding you !!) :P Piano is her trademark..... just as wacky / outrageous clothes are GaGa's.... like the moonwalk was Jacko's ....... like the moustache was Freddie's ..... like the piano was Elton's ...... etc etc ..shall I go on ? :D

:naughty: 8 times. that's quite impressive !! but who is the lucky recipient ? GAgA, Kylie or Britney How much fun you can have when you miss off an 'e' !! :P

so my prediction for shakira getting top 10 was wrong. Lets see how wrong I can be with this ;P 1 GaGa 2 P!nk 3 Beyonce 4 Britney 5 Alicia  6 Kylie 7= Leona 7= Christina  9 Rhiana 10 Kelly

Because singing is defined by an artists vocal ability. But I think I see where you are coming from. the best artist is not defined only by vocal abilty. to be the best artist then a lot of other factors are equally as important (as long as they can at least sing in tune !!) such as stage presence, personality, looks, invention and innovation........... the list goes on. this is why GaGa is likely to win this poll. She is not the best vocally (by quite a way) and she is not the best looking and her songs are nothing revolutionary. but she has enough in her weaker areas to support her very strong areas of innovation, uniqueness and idividuallity (in this generation), personality and an apparent in-built ability to entertain making her the hugely popular talent she is today.

Shaki should squeeze top ten but I don't think kylie will get top 3, may not even squeeze top 5 but it'll be close I think i think top 3 (in any order) will be P!nk, Gaga and Beyonce perm any 2 from Alicia, Kylie, Britney and Leona for the other 2 places in top 5 I really want Alicia top 5

And someone pinched it for Alicia forum too (as Jonjo put it.......... Blates bandwagonning !! ........ but he did acknowledge you as the originator) cheers Steve. its a useful site but you have to watch the figures as they do not always spot and add up figures for the same song called by a slightly different name. they end up with duplicate entries (or more) which means totals are wrong and thus a songs position is artificially lower than it should be.

Wrists suitably slapped. :kink: Not that I could be bothered to add them all up....... I'm leaving that boring job to you !! I was just speculating/guess-timating Anyway, I predict the winner will be mega-babe , hee hee ........ oops there I go again !! :P Or did I ?

Don't think anyone will be surprised when the figures are added up and wins. looking at how consistently a couple of ladies are scoring, the close competition looks likely to for second and 3rd spot. I think a lot of people may be surprised by these places. Maybe expecting or ? could be both of them or neither of them, or maybe or Could be either. But keep a look out for 2 other superstar Divas who have both been quite busy in the news recently !! They may figure higher up than expected by many !! looking forward to the results on sunday. Or will they be later in the week due to time it will take to add up all the scores ?

it may have been hard but I bet you started off real quick for an easy choice at number 1 !! Sorry to say she had to be number 2 on my list cos I couldn't have my fav 2 divas joint top :( oh. I just noticed your bitch slap is same as mine. didn't think anyone else would dare dis the GaGa in here !!

That's a very useful article, thanks Regina. It has the following line in it 'Last month Keys confirmed on Good Morning America that she is five months pregnant and due in November.' so that answers my original question but you don't get the December Alicia baby ...... unless she is very very late !!

1 Christina Aguilera (The Best !) 2 Shakira (Should be equal top with christina but the rules don't allow that !) 3 Alicia Keys 4 Beyonce 5 Leona lewis 6 Rihanna 7 Kelly Clarkson 8 Gabriella Cilmi 9 Fergie 10 Diana Vickers 11 Dido 12 lily Allen 13 Nelly Furtado 14 pixie lott 15 Pink 16 Sophi Ellis-Bexter 17 Taylor Swift 18 natalie imbruglia 19 madonna 20 Britney 21 jennifer Hudson 22 Debbie Harry 23 Dannii Minogue 24 Kylie Minogue 25 Anastasia Bitch Slap for Lady GaGa (for looking like Freddie Mercury in a blonde wig ! :P )

Nice to see no-one has nominated either of the 2 Alicia songs this time so they'll drop completely out this chart where she doesn't deserve to be !!. But of course now that I've mention it someone (or lots of people) will add her to their lists, maybe even edit what they've already entered. Best not, or I'll be round playing ESoM full blast on the car sound system outside their house :P

I'll second that !! ALicia needs to stay ahead to keep catching up with GaGa in the YTD chart. I didn't get the deluxe edition of TEoF so might have to go buy it .......... but just me won't make enough difference :(

I like that the toilet humour has returned to rule 10 :)

Yeah thats common to wait about 12 weeks. If so then I guess she's due during December..... she could have a Christmas baby :) anyone seen or read anymore about 'little bump' Keys?

Thats a shame. She has a really good voice and needs songs where she can show that off. Like Duffy, Christina, Leona etc Or of course some really powerful R&B like Alicia. (I still haven't decided who has the better voice Alicia or Christina...... both are brilliant)

Oh, any Shakira affect following world Cup performance ?

Little dreamer is not on my copy :( UK deluxe edition. It has the five extra tracks on the second cd but not one called Little Dreamer. Puzzled ??

Awesome singer. like Alicia she has lovely tone to her voice. Especially love the bits where her accent comes through :) Not heard of her before over here in England. I'll have to look her up and listen to some more so thanks for posting.

Put it in a love song really needs to be released, at leaset in the UK anyway. Such a fun, catchy and uplifting song. Just think it would suit this time of year with the sun shining and loads of people in holiday mood. Shame if they don't release it :(

Was at her Wembley (London) Oral Fixation show a few years back. Brilliant. quite a lot of spanish songs in the set but then I think the audience was at least half spanish speaking too !! Recommend the DVD to you, give you a good idea of her stage presence and performance on a full set-list. Would loved to have seen ToTM too but have to make do with the DVD :(

I am Birds of prey (think that will take off better in the clubs etc than NMT did) Sex for Breakfast or Vanity....... but only so we can see if ANY radio station played them !!

might have to add some more songs from Bionic. It keeps getter better (no pun intended !!) the more I listen to it. Birds of prey so needs to be released as a single.... *flicks over to correct thread to discus singles from Bionic*

Waiting for put it in a love song to be released in UK. Think it could be huge. But then I thought Shakira's Waka Waka would be big so what do I know !!??

Nice rule 10 :D For a change its not an instruction on how to use bathrooms/toilets........ or is it ? :P
