  1. Some excellent choices there. I reckon I agree with about 75% of the tracks you've suggested that weren't actually singles.

Has a greatest hits album been released, featuring the epic 'One Night In Bangkok?' :w00t:
  3. Part 1 & Part 2 CDs are both now £1.99 each on amazon.co.uk. Slightly lower prices might convince a few more people to buy and boost week 1 physical sales?
  4. (In alphabetical order!) Automatic Love Better The Devil You Know Closer (From 'Aphrodite' - NOT the B-side from Finer Feelings) Flower Got To Be Certain If You Were With Me Now On A Night Like This The One Turn It Into Love What Do I Have To Do
  5. However, her only 90s #1 album was a greatest hits album, rather than a studio album (and before anyone suggests otherwise, although Enjoy Yourself had a minor resurgence at the start of 1990, it only made it back to #2.)

With it now being more commonplace for producers to obtain a credit on singles, I wonder exactly how many top 20 singles from the 1980s, and early 1990s could have been attributed to 'Stock Aitken Waterman.' I think they might even give Cliff Richard a run for his money, or would certainly be in the top three, behind Cliff/Elvis?
  7. Me too - and I haven't had a *proper* Kylie goose-bumpy moment for many a year (says the person who wasn't overly impressed with the first several listens of CGYOOMH!) I'm also loving the instrumental version that has been doing the rounds on YouTube etc.
  8. Kylie - Finer Feelings (1992) Kylie & Nick Cave - Where The Wild Roses Grow (1995)
  9. About 300k more than it deserves to
  10. Don't forget the backing tracks as well - both the instrumentals and backing tracks certainly provide a unique insight into the SAW production process, with the main vocals stripped away.
  11. Most of Kylie's singles from the PWL days have now been added to iTunes as EPs. I think there may be one or two other remix bundles which are due to be added later in the week, but there's plenty to be going on with.
  12. All of Kylie's PWL albums were added to iTunes in April 2009. The addition of all her PWL era singles, with remixes, instrumentals, backing tracks etc. - ie: just about everything in existence (plus some that have never been released before on any format) are expected to be added to iTunes over the next week or two (this may as soon as next Monday - 8th June.) Search for Jason Donovan on iTunes for an idea of the extent of tracks/mixes that will be available (these were made available a couple of weeks ago), and get your credit card ready!

Stock / Aitken / Waterman must be quite high up this particular list too?

I thought that she had choked to death on the silver confetti at the end of performing the winners song? :o

Apologies for my ignorance, and if it has already been discussed / posted, but what is the Dan Hill track in the Top 100 singles (and why?)

Why are so many people getting het-up about Kylie's: 'The One'? I don't recall all this anger, anguish and backlash when 'Over The Rainbow' was released as a download only single at the end of 2005. I am an old-school Kylie fan and have bought all her Physical releases from back in 1988. However, I did not purchase the download of 'Over The Rainbow', and I certainly won't be going to iTunes etc. to buy the downloads of 'The One' either. However, I would certainly try to seek out the promo CD, and there's a fair chance that mp3's of the released tracks might just somehow find their way to my PC over the coming months.
  18. I would say that basing your single on a Marc Cohn sample was extremely gimmicky!
  19. And without PWL I doubt very much that we would even be discussing this today...

Has there been any signs since April 1st of Rick Astley Rick-Rolling his way into the chart with download sales of 'Never Gonna Give You Up'? :w00t:
  21. In no particular order of merit (just alphabetical): Better The Devil You Know Finer Feelings Got To Be Certain If You Were With Me Now In Your Eyes On A Night Like This What Do I Have To Do What Kind Of Fool (Heard All That Before) Wouldn't Change A Thing + one space left for when they finally decide to release 'The One' as a single . . .
  22. Nice look - I like it! (PS: Shouldn't it be Thom Yorke, though?)

Update: 8 of these magazines, from 1995 - 1999, have now been snapped up. Just over 30, spread from 1991 - 1994 remain, if anybody is still interested. All reasonable offers considered.

As per title, see Link: Free Download: Music Week 2008 Planner Warning: The file is a 9Mb+ PDF, and so it may take a while to download (depending on the speed of your connection.) Hopefully somebody might find it useful?
