Some people seem to be throwing around the word generic and not understanding what it means. To be calling Girls Aloud the queens of generic, I mean really? This is the pop group who gave us edgy tracks such as Sexy! No No No..., Something Kinda Ooooh, Sound Of The Underground and Wake Me Up. Hardly generic ;)

I love majority of Timberlake's output. This new single is complete shit to my ears though... sounds like a Jamiroquai reject!

A crapload more people brought Messy Little Raindrops though compared to what A Million Lights has sold, obviously due to the time of year it's been released. So clearly, people were getting the album rather than the single, whereas this time people are opting for the single.

I don't think any of those songs you've listed from this year sound like the other three songs from last year :S I think all of them are great as well bar We No Speak Americano which was just atrocious

Excuse me!! Popular is a brilliant song IMO, and where have you come up with this assumption that he's arrogant. Of all the interviews and videos I've seen of him, he seems really sweet and down to earth. It's about time some Scandipop reached a bigger audience in the UK, and I personally can't think of anyone better to break through with it. Eric or Danny. Rant over.

Why the hell are songs that are so old, so high in that list i.e. Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You? Also, was Christina's Glam released as a single there? #35 and over 300,000 sales for it are ridiculously high for just an album track!

My God, I'm so shocked at Taio! Glad it's becoming a hit over there tho, was one of the best songs to come out of the UK last year. Hopefully it'll get an Australian release following this success. Next up I'd love to see Cheryl, JLS & Alexandra Burke have some US success as well :)
