It gives me a bit of hope for my future descedents... But I hope they don´t use that as an excuse to do nothing about this situation.

Marilyn Manson has release an album entitled "Antichrist superstar" and have destroyed a Bible in an MTV show watched by millions in USA... I am not offended by that, but you can hardly say he didn´t expect ANY reaction. Now can you imagine if an artist of the same popularity had released an album called "anti-Mohammed superstar" and destroyed a Kuran in an MTV show? Would he have courage to do that? And that its talking about USA where christianity is the religion of the majority and islam is just a tiny minority... Now imagine if a similar show was aired in a Muslim nation, even if one of the most liberal? Or even in a country like Philipinnes where just 5% of the population is muslim. About the cartoons happening I agree there was some sort of masquerade racism or anti-islamic attitude maybe, and the whole histeric reaction did not start right after they were published, but after several subsequent facts. If the journal had just appologised and forgot about it it´s possible we wouldn´t have even heard about it. But this is just one in an ocean of facts about this subject. Remember people from islamic countries don´t think about the press the same way we do. Freedom of speech is not a principle used in islamic nations.

Oh well I haven´t even mentione Kyle, why did you come up with her? Do you listen to her? I enjoy some of her songs but I don´t buy her records... I think you have problems with reading maybe, I was acused of making generalization and sayng all gay people are feminine, when in fact what I said was: As you can see I´m not talking about a huge amount of people but just the examples in my social circle... And never sugested the contrary. Plus, if there was any generalization abou gay people in my posts, it was much softer then other generalizations done by some of the members who acuse me. Plus, this overreaction is homophobic, because I don´t think someone would be offended if was called feminine (which wasn´t the case), unless this person has a huge dislike for efeminated people.

So you think they can take each of this millions of cells and remove a certain gene from it? I don´t think medicine will evolve that much. They could only do it with the ziggot cell, but still the consequences could be disastrous since nobody knows what can happen if you remove a certain part of the DNA.

They have the right to a pacific protest. Their religion support taking violent actions, however. You are allowed to kill in the name of it. I don´t think it´s a matter of racism. Most black people in America and UK are not muslims, and the majority of them is subscribed to a chrstian denomination, if it was down to racism only then they would be victims aswell.

I see no relation between these things at all. I´m talking about personal convictions, and a person who has the conviction that stoning someone because of adultery is something desireable and normal has not place to be a full practicer of its convictions in a civilized country.

If that is the case then they would just give up on their traditions and integrate with the population of the country they are in. Why the hell would no-practicing or non-believing muslims wear burqas or veils? Then if they were non-practicers and people who don´t give a f*** about their religion they simply wouldn´t care if islam was banned from earth, instead of sending death threats.

If they don´t subscribe to the Kuran law then they´re not real muslims... it makes no sense.

Maybe it´s not genetical, but surely biological. Not every biologic characteristics are defined by genetics. I don´t think it´s bad if science discovers a "gay" gene, that would only teach people that your sexuality is something you´re born with and you can´t chose, like the color of your skin or your eyes. Then nobody can tell you you´re "wrong" for being the way you were born.

As far as I know stoning a person is not legal in netherlands or any civilized country in the world, so any religion, philosophy or political party who prescribes it cannot be fully practiced in these countries. The death threats sent to his family just proves he has a point. Even if he was doing something completely racist, civilized countries have legal ways to solve problems like this and not "death threats".

But being gay is not just a personality characteristic, like the type of music you hear or clothes you wear. Obviously gay people must know since when they started to be. I´ve talked to people who have felt "feminine" since their early childhood. If it was such a simple personality characteristic then one would be able to change it easily.

I didn´t think the word "homo" was offensive at all... At least not in my language, it´s just an abreviation of the word homossexual.

And what is this mention for? Did I ever said such thing? In fact if you read my posts from the begining I have said that many gay people are know are more religious or have a better spiritual life then average heterossexuals. Stop acusing me for things I haven´t said, you just put things on my mouth and I don´t like it.

In my country the biggest organized group of gay bashers are nazis who are not religiously affiliated, I suppose 80 to 90% atheist. Homossexuality is not an organized movement like a religion or a political party that´s why you only see particular crimes and not people doing "in the name of it...". If all christianity is to be blamed because of intolerance from a few groups, then we all should have the merits of Mother thereza and Martin Luther King Jr. aswell. Each person should be judged by his actions and not by what other people who use the same "titles" are doing. Want to judge a religion judge it in an objective way, not by judging what its professed members do. Otherwise we could say that Marxism is evil because all comunist governments ever have been opressive.

If they are true friends they will not leave you because of that... Even if they had said so, but when it goes from theory to practice things are different, it´s too easy to say that you will leave your son if he is gay, but when it happens in reality you learn to love him I suppose. Most people still think that being gay is just an "option", so they think by sayng these things they will make sure that their son will not choose this way. Most parents say that in fact for liking their sons so much, they don´t want them to suffer homophobia so they want them to chose the "straight way", but they remain in ignorance in the sense of thinking your sexuality can be "chosen" like the clothes you wear. If they were aware of this fact their reaction would be radically different.

I didn´t make any religious reference to justify my opinions, in fact the religious reference has always come from your side and I just stand on defense. I wouldn´t have even mentioned it if it wasn´t for your ignorant and unecessary comments about it that made me answear. Okay, maybe it´s because we live in different countries and cultures, but why is there so much fight for gay rights and the word homphoby is so in at the moment, certainly it must be something that exists, if not why would you bother... Where I live gay people still suffer prejudice and are still ridicularized with bad comments and stuff. I´m not sayng I support this type of attitude, I´m just noticing it happens, and it comes not from me. In my class the ones who had an efeminate way (i´m not sayng all gays are efeminate) have always been humiliated with jokes and nicknames by others (not by me, tough), and I suspect that someone, even if not efeminate, comes out of the closet and declares itself gay it would be the same situation. Kids are not all tolerant and nice. I don´t need to say that in this case the "opressors" are not christian-zaelots like you think, but usually people who couldn´t care less about religion and also humiliate the same way religious minorities. If in your country your situation is different than you should be greateful cause prejudice exists in almost 100% of the world in a larger or smaller degree.
