Is it to late to stop Global Warming?
I know that it´s warming, but it´s not something sensible for us during a lifetime... I don´t think the weather is hotter now then it was 10 years ago for me. It´s a lot of warming for the nature during a 100 years period, but nothing sensible for us who will live 70 or 80 years and will gradually adapt to the highest temperatures. If people can live in Venezuela or Peru, then why can´t people in Europe or USA live with a temperature 0,1% higher then the previous year? Not that I am sayng nothing should be done... Of course something´s gotta stop it, but for the sake of future generations, not because next year there won´t be snow on Christmas...

[The Disgrace Of Lithium]
It´s a shame because in my opinion this song is a lot better then the previous single. One thing that pisses me off is that when an act like Beyonce or Gwen Stefani starts flopping with an album the label does anything to recover it and they quickly release a single with massive exposure to save the album. While when it comes to an act like Evanescence, even if it starts with big sales (TOD nearly 100k first week), they seem to think that 1 single is enough and nobody else cares about the subsequent singles to be promoted. I think there is a conspiration in the music chanels and radio stations in favour of manufactured music, acts like Gwen or Beyonce will always get attention for all singles they released even if the previous flopped, while a rock band has to strugle to put a song on radio even if the previous single was a sizeable hit.

Is it to late to stop Global Warming?
I don´t believe this "summers are too hot these days" stuff. I believe the Earth´s average temperature has gone up a bit but not enough to be felt by us. It seems to be psicological effect from all this global warming on TV that makes people feel summers are hotter then in previous years.

I hate Jojo. She also scored a big hit in the UK a few years ago but she won´t shift albums, she´s not here to stay.

Fergie pops digital sales record, fails to credit humps
No sign of a release in UK? Her album bombed in Britain, I guess...

But I think it´s more of a recognition for a song to make an album go platinum, or even make an album sell 4 years after its release (like Fallen), then a mere Top 10 placing that will be nothing in a few months. McFly might have loads of # 1 singles but how many people remember their songs, and will their albums still sell 4 years in future?

To be honest, I don´t care where the single charts as long as the album is selling... This week it climbed more then I expected. I hope it goes Top 40 next week. With the new chart rules singles will be back at the slow building chart run era, and chart positions for rock acts will become more and more meaningless, just like in countries like Germany or Australia, where many acts can do well with a modest Top 40 hit but a big selling album.

Albums You're Looking Forward To This Year?
The only one I´m looking forward is Dido. I can´t see much reason to await for albums of artists like Mariah, Pussycat Dolls, Britney, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, since these artists are more like frontfacers for their producers projects. I want to look forward to an artists who can bring something exclusive, not another version of "since u been gone" or "yeah!".

Albums You're Looking Forward To This Year?
But will she release it this year? She usually takes ages between her albums, and her last one was just 1 year ago...

Is it to late to stop Global Warming?
I think the tendency is that nature will destroy the human race and rebuild itself. Most people don´t think about problems the Earth will face in future generations cause they won´t be alive anyway. Maybe we all will die and in some millions of year a new intelligent race will develop in this planet and treat it better.

And the sales in UK are not bad... Considering Shakira had one of the most sucessful singles of year and released her album MANY months before Ev´, and her album has sold only 30k more. I´m thnking this album can sell at least 400,000 at the end of its era.

Chart Watch 2007
This week up to # 17 selling 122.000

Will it flop? So bad, it seems to be the pattern for american rock non-indie bands they can never have more then 1 sucessful album in UK. Remember Nickelback? Linkin Park? It seems that UK is only impressed with newcomers, and once they release a 2nd album it´s not hot anymore, even if it´s still selling in other places.

Do you know how much the album has sold in UK since it´s release? Last week it was only #89, but being Christmas week I suppose it must have sold over 10,000. This week it´s up to #59, but I believe sales must have decreased a bit. Will Lithium debut on the charts with downloads alone?

Searching for Westlife's World of our own overall Sales
Hmmm... Westlife never had an album selling 8 or 12 million worldwide. They´re not a worldwide act, they´re mainly a local act in UK/Ireland. They enjoyed some international sucess on their peak but not even in that short period they had a platinum album in USA, or a hugely certified album in Europe. Coast to Coast is only certified for 3 million in Europe. I´ts technically impossible that a Westlife album would sell more outside Europe then inside since 90% of their sales must be in Euro. If their total sales in UK are really 9 million, I somehow doubt that their worldwide figures can be twice as much. I really think they can have sold a maximum of 18 million albums worldwide.

Rule Change to boost Lady Soverign
This song sucks. Flopped in USA.

Sophie E B, Comments on GA
I like Sophie, but GA doesn´t deserve all of that. They ain´t inovative like people say, and far from being the biggest pop act at the moment. I see them as just a bunch of models.

Songs that would've been #1 BBHot100 hits if...
But that was a song nobody liked, not like Iris, Don´t Speak or Torn which were everyone´s favourites at the time and still remembered as classics... These days classic songs don´t exist anymore cause radios only play urban or rnb stuff in USA, even if people prefer other songs.

mankind must spread into space to survive
It should not be necessary. The Earth has everything the we need as long as we don´t destroy it. Some may argue that the human population is too big, but the vast majority of it live in subhuman conditions and the resources destruction has nothing to do with them, but it´s done by a minority. I think this idea of living in the space is a rubish fantasy, we will not have enought time to evolve science that much before the planet eventually colapses and our race is destroyed.

Saddam Hussein is DEAD
Awful images, and I think it´s a sad day, not for losing Saddam, but for having this type of images on our media and to know that a vast number of people in this planet still lives in stone ages. Maybe his fellow oriental people are more used with this type of stuff but for me it´s a shock and I think the ocidental world should never suport this type of punishment. But then again, the "land of freedom" that is USA also has death penalty in some states. Then there is the obvious fact that his death will indirectly cause the death of loads of inocent people in Iraq, and it´s worryng how people don´t seem to give a **** with that. We hear about deaths in the news so much we got used to think it´s normal.
