You think anyone who has a different view then yours is closed minded, and they believe that just because they´re stupid or lazy minded, emotional, etc... That´s exactly the oposite to humility.

The Bible says that God reveals himself to anyone that seeks him TRULY and with HUMILITY, with an open heart and patience. So anyone can make an experience to have a "personal proof". Seek him the way the Bibles tells, if he doesn´t reveal then its proven the Bible is c**p, if he reveals then it´s proven he exists. But that´s just a personal proof... You can be sure that your parents love you, but you cannot prove that to the world. What if they were just pretending? When you are sure of something, you don´t need to prove that to others. Having said that, I truly recomend you all should go to a church and get baptized as soon as you can otherwise you can die, and by the way it must be a Catholic Church because that is the only true church founded by Jesus and God hates all the other churches and religions, and I am a very fundamentalist person, and I´m sorry, you are all going to burn in hell for eternity... Oh wait, no, I was just kidding. ^_^

So the universe cannot exist, because it cannot have created itself. Then it must have been created by something. If something can´t exist without being created, and the universe was not created, then the universe doesn´t exist. Maybe this is the answear. We don´t exist, it´s just an illusion.

And why would someone say an artist they detest is underrated? It´s impossible to be objective in music. Even tough the media has an objetive view, what is liked by the critics is good...

Well, try to go back to year 1400 and tell someone that centuries later, you would be able to write something in England, and that would almost immediatly be displayed on a screen in Brazil (which was not even discovered at that time). Or that an equipament that fits in the palm of your hand would be used to make your voice be heard in the other side of the world AT THE SAME TIME! Try to explain those people what is a radio wave... Out of the loads of things that are there in the universe and the nature, what on Earth makes someone think that our FIVE (only 5, why not 2 million?) senses are enough to perceive 0,000001% of what exists. If God was seen by anyone, then he wouldn´t be God, it would be just another creature. If people believe that God himself created/invented matter, then why would he be material? How can someone be made of something that was invented by himself? THAT´S CRAZY. Not that I´m claiming this is the ultimate God proof, but IF, and only IF God exists, then surely He: - is not material - is not temporal - is not made of anything on the universe, because IF he exists and is the creator of the universe, he can´t be made of the things he created. Most likely he would be some type of reality that is not sensible by our 5 senses.

Well, not exactly ALL of these bands, but most of the famous ones.

Well, whatever, not matter how many people in this post think Dido is boring, the millions of people who bought her albums don´t think so... Whatever she is boring or not, she is herself, and not who she needs to be to sell more records. Others like Kelly, Christina, Justin and Co. are just singers that are hired to put their voices into a pre-recorded track manufeactured by some mega hitmaker producer. If Dido was only selling records for being innofensive, then it would be so much easier for any other artists to sell records, since there are millions of "inofesive" artists. Slagging other celebrities, marryng someone you barely known, going to rehab, or shoot a video wearing bikini hardly makes someone´s music better. Being offensive doesn´t mean being good. That why indie bands are c**p - too much yelling, drug addiction, controversial quotes, magazine covers, but not much MUSIC.
  9. So new releases should be released on Sundays, not mondays...
  10. It has underperformed in the UK compared to his previous albums, but still was the 3rd or 4th best selling album of 2005, so not much to mourn about... In Germany it is one of his best selling, if not the best selling album of his career. But I somehow doubt his new album will achieve that much.
  11. Not at a particular person, but at the numbers themselves.
  12. I can´t believe your musical knowledge is so restricted. She is the biggest new age/pop artist ever, she has released many classic songs, but she´s more an albums artist, and the type that is not often played on pop radio. That Fugees song Ready Or Not and also Mario Winan´s I don´t Wanna Know are both based on an Enya sample (Boadicea).
  13. No, it sold more then 200k and took Robbie´s # 1, it was release 1 week later then IC.
  14. Yes, I get the point. Sucess only in UK, and small markets. 12x platinum in Ireland is less then a half of what it takes to be gold in USA. 2 million in UK? It would need to sell 10 million in the rest of the world to make up for the 12 million. What a joke. The album was not even sucessful in most countries. Only if projected in your dreams. This one sold even less the Coast to Coast, which probably didn´t sell 5 million worldwide.
  15. Well, can I say this is so fake it PAINS MY HEAD??? How on earth would Coast to coast have sold 12 million, everyone know that is BULL$h!t. Plus, it´s WIKIPEDIA folks. Albums who sold around 12 million worldwide: No Angel (Dido), Let Go (Avril), Laundry Service (Shakira), now compare the sales of these ones I mentioned to Coast to Coast - the only place it did better is a few insignificant Asian countries. Westlife were never a big global albums seller, end of story. Coast to Coast sold 3 million in Europe, HOW ON EARTH would it have sold 9 million in the rest of the world??? The 35 million albums number is $h!t. If you add the singles sales there, IF LUCKY, it will come close to that. Westlife albums sell an average 1 million copies in UK and 1 million in the rest of the world, some sell more, some sell less, but this is the average. There are some albums like Allow Us To Be Frank and the last one which probably didn´t even sold 500k outside the UK, so GET REAL.
  16. His albums sell well almost everywhere, except north america. Westlife is NOTHING outside UK/Eire, and a few more countries. Intensive Care sold 5 million in Europe alone. Westlife´s last album sold just 1.5 million. He´s not only bigger then Westlife, but MUCH bigger.

People say Dido is boring because she is a normal woman. You don´t need to wear like a dive just because you had a million selling album... People who listen to pop usually don´t want music, they want clowns to entertain the public. Dido doesn´t do a good job to entertain people with celebrity fight news, in and out of rehab, or coreographies on the TV. People only buy her albums because of her music. Personally, I think the most dull and boring things on music are indie bands which sound all the same and r´n´b artists whose songs come all from the same factory (Timbaland, Pharell, P Diddy etc.). It feels like it´s always the same artist on the top of the charts just with a different front facer singer.
  18. If I had a singer wife, I would never say she sucks, even if she was Paris Hilton. That might have ecloded in a fight.

Eminem and other rappers like him have sampled / featured tons of artists in their careers and not necessarily they become million selling acts. If Dido was sucessful just because of Eminem, then D12 (a band where Eminem himself is featured) would be 2x more sucessful then her, and it´s not. Not to mention her album was already Gold in the USA before the famous sample was released, something that most british artists struggle to reach. But of course that would be too much to expect from someone whose opinions are basically cliches. Dido sells her music because of her voice, which is incredibly beautiful. She isn´t too famous, she isn´t a glamurous celebrity, she never receives good reviews in cult magazines and she isn´t a sex symbol, but her albums sell millions because she has a beautiful voice and she writes beautiful songs, and that´s it... I would say she is overrated only if the entire media was saying she is the saviour of music and stuff like that, which clearly isn´t the case... Stupid magazines and UK moron journalists prefer giving these merits to artists who are here today, gone tomorrow. Dido herself only started to be "bland" and "incredibly boring" on the public´s eye after she sold millions... Same with James Blunt, who was a cool new singer who promissed to be the new Elton John, and after his album sold millions, he suddenly became a piece of $h!t. While people like KT Tunstall are considered the fresh of coolness in UK music, just because her songs have a few more guitars and are a bit (just a bit) more upbeat, that she can pretend she is "rock". The real reason Dido is hated is of course she had 2 consecutive albums that sold nearly 3 million in UK, which no other artist in history has achieved. It hurts the media that no matter how much they hype up and throw at our ears their darling artists, they will take 30 years to achieve the sucess that Dido had with 2 albums.
  20. And I reckon they will probably release this simply because the label forgot they have to follow up her previous single. The album is already strugling with 13,000 copies sold in USA last week, I don´t know what they are waiting, the HDL cow has already been milked to death.
  21. It would do well if the song was not a flashback already.

Dido is not overrated. In fact, she is UNDERrated, since she is one of the most criticized artists by reviewers and magazines. I think she is better then 95% of the artists we have today, and if everyone in the UK seems to dislike her, it´s just because she is not a "cool" indie artist on the cover of NME, even tought it has become totally pointless, indie bands today come and go quicker then boybands did in the 90´s.
  23. And who cares?Who are weslife? Here in Brazil their last album shipped 3,000 copies (God knows how many are still in shelves). In Germany their last album was # 18 or something, when Robbie spent ages at # 1... So Robbie has less # 1 singles in UK, and who cares? Angels is a classic, sold 1 million copies, and was not even Top 3, so who cares for a Westlife # 1 that goes 1-5-17-68 and sells 60k. They probably won´t even be number one anymore, since downloads have taken over and these days you can´t get these cheap MCFly/Westlife numbers ones based on fanatical fanbase alone. Plus, Tripping was # 1 in Germany, when Westlife never had a Top 10 hit there... Robbie had loads of #1 albums and singles all over the world, when Westlife are number one only in UK/Ireland, and just rarely in other places. So, Rudebox is far from being the best song on earth, but at last it´s something different. What will be the next Westlife single? A cover of an old ballad?
  24. Just until Dido has her new album, since Westlife usually needs to release 3 albums to equal the sales of one of her albums... That´s not to mention internationally...

They didn´t die because they didn´t give the money, but because they lie. It´s not mentioned the reason of their death, they could have died of their own guilty. I don´t expect these stories to have happened exactly the way they are related. People were not forced to sell everything they had and give to the apostles, they only did when they wanted it, it was some type of communism. If the stories are really like it´s written in the Bible, then the apostles took no vantage, on the contrary, they were murdered, tortured, persecuted because of their faith. It´s not like today´s preachers, who live in comfortable houses with their families, and preach on TV/radio and earn the profits of the people for doing almost nothing. John is supposed to have written the book of Revelation in a prison. Peter is supposed to have died in an inverted cross. Paul was jewish clergymen and rich, and persecuted christians. He would have done more money into judaism, since it was the "accepted" religion, he had not reasons to trade it for an obscure and persecuted sect.
