  1. Omg, how can you say that when it contains the lyric "respect to the man in the ice cream van"!
  2. I kind of almost feel like 'Stop' is more iconic in pop culture for having not reached #1. On balance I've decided to give it to Vicky B. Probably should've released it in a different week, but it gave us the most memorable chart battle of the century (and this side of Blur vs Oasis) which probably boosted its sales as a result anyway.

This album's great! I find 'Glow' a bit ehhh though. 'Too Hard', 'Cathedral' and 'Red Flag'
  4. Question is, WHY (regarding Jazzy that is, not Clem)
  5. Ooooh shame GA got eliminated. That's such a great single for me. Fedde to win!
  6. Will it be a case of like '911' again where it's not a proper single months down the line?
  7. I think the first thing I ever heard of hers was 'Skin' on release and I thought it was alright. I couldn't tell you how it goes.
  8. To be fair though, it's been about 7 years since she started out and aside from that big first single she's never exactly hit the big time. I'm kind of surprised she still even has her record deal at this stage.

Just celebrating its 25th anniversary this week! My favourite Steps song 💓
  10. Suicidal Romance. That Wheatus cover really didn't deserve to outpeak the original!
  11. Bey, although I wouldn't mind seeing the back of Artful Dodger either.
  12. Empire of the Sun If it was 'Walking On a Dream' that might be contending for my winner.
  13. All American Rejects
  14. Plot twist: the pressure gets too much for Rachel Reeves, she quits as chancellor and joins them.
  15. I'd like that too, but let's be honest her heart isn't in it and based on her output over the last few years we're unlikely to get anything even close to the standard of Girl, Neon Nights or Hits & Beyond/Club Disco material. If she does do Hoopla next year though, I am so there!
  16. I'm not quite sure that's a silver bullet solution, I can't imagine the average person keeping all these older songs in the chart is listening to them at least 70 times (or however many is required?) I think streaming services need to do their bit to promote newer and fresher music. How exactly we go about getting them to do that I don't know.
  17. This sounds great! I liked 'Weeds' a lot but it didn't quite stick in the way 'Jungle' did, this sounds like an utter banger. Album announcement soon pls girls?
  18. It's one of the very few songs of theirs I actually like!
  19. +5 Birds of a Feather - Billie Eyelash +4 Messy - Lola Young +3 Good Luck, Babe! - Chappell Roan +2 Pink Pony Club - Chappell Roan +1 APT - Rose & Bruno Mars -1 Die with a Smile - Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars -2 Beautiful Things - Benson Boone -3 The Days - Chrystal -4 That's So True - Gracie Abrams -5 Ordinary - Alex Warren Most of these I'd gladly not hear again for a while, whether I like them or not.
  20. Maroon 5 are a much bigger act on streaming overall, Phil Collins probably has a few more perennial streamers (unfortunately) and Pitbull seems to be having a mini revival at the moment - plus I imagine tracks like 'Give Me Everything', 'Timber', 'Fireball' etc are much stronger in streaming than anything on SBIT except 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' which is her only real juggernaut.
  21. I think this is quite alright, he's definitely done worse. Although again it does sound exactly like all the others.
