  1. If she can get another top 40 without meaningful Spotify support and no physicals, I'll consider that a satisfactory achievement. Obviously I'd love top 20 though, but I don't know how realistic that is.
  2. Capital really are pathetic. Nowhere near as pathetic as Spotify though.
  3. That's why we all need to stream Jade as much as we can!!
  4. A very fun, raucous banger. Lovin' it! I actually saw Rose Gray performing in a tent last Saturday, it took me about two songs in to realise it was actually her despite having heard the album and love it

Reminds me of something like Bon Jovi.
  6. Not as good as the original, but a lot better than that limp and lifeless 2008 remix of it!
  7. This is fantastic. I feel like it might be my second favourite behind 'Angel', but I probably need time before I decide that for sure.
  8. J-Lo. She has some awful singles in her discography and this was one of the very worst.
  9. Ultravox are one of those acts I need to check out more of, I know about 3 songs but I like 'em!
  10. Guys, get on this. It's seriously bloody good.
  11. Probably something alliterative!
  12. Your Eurovision thread gave me false hope that you'd finally dropped this silly act and learned to type properly ☹️
  13. I liked 'Bamboogie' as a kid at the school discos, and I have fond memories of it in that respect but it definitely doesn't sound as good now.
  14. Yeah exactly, and it counts as a stream if you don't skip within 30 seconds. I can't tell you the amount of times I've accidentally given a stream to something I don't like because it came on next and I was too distracted to change it in a hurry!
  15. I think we're years past the notion of having a chart that's properly representative full stop, I mean it's already been modified beyond recognition as it is.
  16. 'Neon Blue' is good and everything, but 'Deeper Shade of Blue' really is something else beyond compare.
  17. 'Diamonds' is the only one I properly dislike here, so that. I suppose next it's 'SOS' but they're all fab!

As I started following music and the charts around February that year, I wasn't hugely aware of Kylie before this point (aside from knowing a handful of songs). I'm always intrigued by whether it was thought at the turn of the millennium she'd ever pull something like this off, or if even in the run to to the release it was completely unexpected - I'd only seen she was at #1 before having heard the song yet!
  19. This is like choosing between having your toenails individually pulled out or being waterboarded. Also yes. That's So True, Not Like Us and 12 weeks of Ordinary in comparison. I really don't think so...
