Round 7: Year End Survivor #111
Probably 'Shooting Star' now, although I was big time obsessed with it in 2002.
-
Round 4: Year End Survivor #112
Probably 'Tattoo' this time

Chart Battle Rewind: Geri Halliwell vs blink-182
I think I just about prefer 'All The Small Things', it's such a classic. Much as I despise Geri Halliwell and pretty much everything about her, 'Bag It Up' is a banger.

Ed Sheeran - Azizam
In a vast discography that contains some real shit, this is one of his better efforts. I'm liking it!

Julian rates every 21st century Top 40 hit
My mum endlessly played that Ronan song at the time, absolutely fooking DIABOLICAL. I hate it so much. Not helped at all by the fact I can't bear his voice anyway.

I much prefer 'Azizam' to 'Ordinary', but then I really don't need Ed Sheeran clocking up another #1 to his name and 'Ordinary' already has it so 🤷♂️

Netflix ‘Fly-on-the-Wall’ Kylie Documentary
We really don't need another Greatest Hits, it's only been 6 years since the 74th one.

2025 BPI Certifications
The reason for that is because it wasn't released in the UK as a single at the time! It's kind of similar to 'Pocketful of Sunshine' in that regard - big US top 5 hit, not released here as a single but is now certified gold.

Least favourite Lady Gaga 2nd single ● ROUND 1
The two jazz ones obvs. Ngl I'm gunning for 'Telephone' as soon as they're gone.
-
The Gallup Years- Top 10 Sales- 1989
#20!
-
The Mayhem Ball 2025-2026
I had a look, but didn't bother in the end. Partly because the process was so stressful, partly because the prices were so obscene. I might look and see what TicketSwap has to offer on the day or something.

Song Covers SoundClash #22
Probably with good reason!

Just noticed in yesterday's Spotify chart 'Unwritten' has climbed to #27. What's the reason for that vaulting so high again?

The Hives - The Hives Forever Forever The Hives
Ahhh I love them, they're good noisy fun! New single is good, although a tad repetitive. 'Countdown to Shutdown' from the last album was ace!
-
Lucy Letby
I don't know if you know this, but Letby HERSELF conceded during her cross-examination that the babies had indeed been deliberately poisoned with insulin but "not by her" apparently (yeah right)

Song Covers SoundClash #22
I actually love Martine's version of this, don't shoot me! Sam Smith covering 'I Feel Love' on paper should be an abomination, but surprisingly it's actually rather good!
-
The Gallup Years- Top 10 Sales- 1989
Love 'She Drives Me Crazy' so much
-
The Beast vs Blade Of Grass
'Blade of Grass', I like the drama of it. 'The Beast' is the only song on the album I'm not really into.
-
Julian rates every 21st century Top 40 hit
I much prefer the 4 Strings track as an instrumental! Absolutely glorious 🥰

Future Nostalgia • Second Album
I remember saying before the era began that she was in a good position to have her Teenage Dream era if she gets it right, and I think it's fair to say she pretty much did! It's insane to think it's half a decade, same with the general lockdown but this definitely gave me some much needed light at the very beginning of it when everything felt so bleak.

HAIM - I quit
But 'Relationships' is on the Radio 1 playlist, so it has to be an official single.

Chart Battle Rewind: Cascada vs Michael Jackson
Jacko I despised Evacuate the Dancefloor at the time, I don't mind it as much now but it's still not exactly great.
