'Unexpected' • Third Album
I am loving the music, the video, the new look. I am a Christian and love gospel music but Michelle has really found her niche. However, I think We Break the Dawn was released to iTunes a tad too early, it was well received on the net but if the record company thought good comments on blogs was going to get it big-time downloads on iTunes they were seriously wrong. Michelle needs to start putting in some promo on TV and radio, radio needs to start playing the song and important music channels need to play the video. Also, imho, the remix with Flo-Rida should be given more attention than the original version of the single, as it would definitely do way better

NnZxW6OFjAw This is a sure-fire hit...! And imho, better than the original

Pocketful Of Sunshine: Album (Discussion Thread)
PFOs has given the album a pretty good boost in terms of sales...lets hope it stays around top 20 for a good while and keeps album sales from dwindling too fast...

'Unexpected' • Third Album
Well, downloads were probably less than what they were expecting (they probably thought it would chart on downloads alone, just because of the popularity her new music was having on the net). I have been requesting We Break the Dawn on all radio stations, together with Kelly's Work, Natasha Bedingfield PFOS and Kylie's All I See. Doesn't seem to be getting any play but maybe once it is sent for adds it will get picked up quickly...?

All I See
Just voted some more. I really hope this makes it into the US top 50 airplay. I think that is possible if we keep requesting, even if it is played just by the minor stations. But for it to make Hot 100, then it will really need to be picked up by one of the major stations....so keep requesting!

All I See
KEEP VOTING GUYS! I am voting on behalf of myself, my mother, and my father: going through the entire list until PC time runs out.

All I See
Its up to #54, with audience of 0.810. Still pathetic but better than before...

Pocketful Of Sunshine: Single (Discussion Thread)
It slipped down from #2 to #3 on iTunes and is now at #4. On the other hand, airplay is picking up, which is important...so, as long as it does not fall out of the iTunes top 5, and airplay continues to rise, it should definitely reach a new peak this next week.

Pocketful Of Sunshine: Album (Discussion Thread)
Oh! Sorry...I meant PFOS single was meant for Platinum (in response to your post with the total sales). Personally, I find Put Your Arms pretty bland and pales in comparison to even LLT (which wasn't her best effort). Soulmate is a ballad, would get great play on AC and definite exposure on soppy American TV shows at some emotional moment (think Grey's Anatomy, The Hills, etc). I imagine you're probably acquainted with the Bimbo Jones remix of it, would make it another dance hit and I think it's sucess would depend on whether or not Pop radio picked it up. I was surprised that Angel did not do well when the album was released, which probably goes against it being released as a single...on the other hand, it is very American radio-friendly, and is a good song. If I could pick singles for Natasha, they would be: - Love Like This, feat Sean Kingston (Top 20) (Not a personal favourite but its success speaks for itself..) - Pocketful of Sunshine (Hopefully make Top 5) - Angel (it is a Darkchild production after all, and if they released a slightly mixed up version featuring some "hot" US rapper it would be guaranteed Top 20 ) - Not Givin' Up (very American radio-friendly and catchy song) - (No More) What Ifs, feat Eve (as the lead single of a repackaged version of the album :P ) While we're at it, here's my ideal tracklisting for the Pocketful of Sunshine Repackaged/Deluxe/Re-release which I feel would help boost US album sales. 1. I Wanna Have Your Babies (Snowflake Mix) 2. Love Like This, feat Sean Kingston and Lil Wayne 3. Soulmate 4. Pocketful of Sunshine 5. Angel 6. Backyard 7. Not Givin' Up 8. Tricky Angel 9. Pirate Bones 10. (No More) What Ifs, feat Eve 11. How Do You Do? 12. Stepping Stone 13. Say It Again (a new version featuring Adam Levine more prominently) 14. Piece of My Heart 15. Smell The Roses 16. Lay Down/Loved By You 17. Still Here 18. Soulmate (Bimbo Jones Remix) A re-release with those songs would definitely get the album closer to 1 million worldwide sales :yahoo: (Oh, and Happy, Put Your Arounds Me, and Freckles are all dispensable imho).

Wow, PFOS is easily headed to be certified Platinum ^_^ Soulmate is an "obvious" choice as a single as it was the only hit from N.B. and because it charted just off its high downloads when the album was released, so people obviously liked it. With some nice promo and decent exposure (ie, being played on some popular TV show) could be a big hit for her, and would show her versality as a singer after LLT and PFOS. But Angel is perhaps more suited to the American market and, although it is a bit bland, I can really see some hot, banging club and urban mixes to it being easily made, maybe featuring some US rapper or whatever :yahoo: My guess right now is Angel being 3rd single and, depending on its success, Soulmate being 4th. And then we either await a new album or get a repackaged version featuring a hot new single, a few new songs, a remix or something, and reworked versions of the PFOS CD's song.

Was expecting a bit higher but its still great Her 2nd highest charting single after Unwritten... Next week should have an even higher peak, so long as airplay continues picking up and downloads remain in the top 10 region... :naughty: :yahoo: :cheer:

Great! PFOS downloads will probably diminish but airplay should go up and thus boost downloads; there is no reason why PFOS won't have the same staying power as LLT and thus continue boosting album sales. And once PFOS starts descending the charts, a new single (most likely either Soulmate or Angel) will be out to help boost album sales once more.

Natasha Bedingfield Feat. Sean Kingston, "Love Like This"
Its not one of her best songs and wouldn't have done so well in the US if it weren't for the phenomenal boost it got from being the new song from the girl who sings "Unwritten" and for featuring Sean Kingston, who was big-time hot at the time of release, having had #1 with Beautiful Girls and been featured on remixes of other Hot 100 #1. I had expected it to make top 20 in UK and, with hindsight, reckon it could have easily gone top 10 if the downloads and physical releases had been only a week or so apart. Oh well...PFOS will do better

Seven thousand sales this week? I was hoping for more, alot more...

Pocketful Of Sunshine: Single (Discussion Thread)
According to Mediabase, http://w2.mediabase.com/mmrweb/AllAccess/C...00&cutoff=1, its up at #16 in airplay. Its remains firmly at #2 on US iTunes and #1 on Canada iTunes, so definitely making top 10 debuts in both countries this week. And hopefully boosting album sales significantly also..

"Work" • Third Single (UK Only)
Its amazing how much longevity Work is having. On mainstream iTunes charts, it is: # 9 in New Zealand. #7 in Italy #8 in Finland #9 in Australia. Not as major markets as the US, but I'm glad Work is having the success it deserves and goes to show that Kelly is still a viable artist internationally. Perhaps even more so than in her native US...

Pocketful Of Sunshine: Single (Discussion Thread)
Wow, I'm hoping that with airplay and all, this will make #1 Hot 100! Any chances of that happening? Would be so cool... And the album is doing great too, back into the iTunes top 50...at #11 which is great...with PFOS being a hit and the next single doing reasonably well, it should get certified at very least Gold in the US.

"Love in This Club, Part II" • Official Thread
Cool Definitely gonna be a big hit then.
-
'Ms. Kelly' • Second Album
Maybe it will be on the album and we're just not aware of it yet?
-
"Daylight" (feat. Travie McCoy) • Fourth Single (UK Only)
It won't be as big as Like This or much less Work, but it should hopefully make top 10 and give the album re-release a decent boost.

'All I See' Making An Increasing Impact In US!!!
Well, we hardcore fans should just carry on requesting. It has made some difference, not much, but something. Which is better than nothing...and I'm wicked happy to think that maybe the Buzzjack peeps requesting has had a hand in helping All I See to pick up at radio. According to Mediabse, http://w2.mediabase.com/mmrweb/AllAccess/C...00&cutoff=1, All I See is now at #56. Audience is not great, BUT, airplay is picking up. The probelm is that it wasn't a great single choice...at least for the US. But we can keep requesting and radio stations that have picked it up will play it more, and those that haven't will playlist it and play it...really doesn't hurt to spend 2 minutes every day requesting.

Thanks!! Where'd you get it? I wonder if they will present her with Gold and Platinum discs on AMerican Idol, would be so cool

"Daylight" (feat. Travie McCoy) • Fourth Single (UK Only)
Cool! Hoping this will be a hit for her in UK, at least. Its also doing well on US Dance Play

Pocketful Of Sunshine: Album (Discussion Thread)
 Hopefully American Idol will give the single - and album - a big kick up the backside, shooting the single into the top 10 and the album back into top 50 at least. Next 2 singles will have to be reasonable hits for this album to go at least Gold. I am wondering if they will follow the recent trend and release a "Deluxe" or Repackaged version of the album, featuring some remixes and a hot new single, to boost album sales? Would be v. cool
