Interesting comparison here on how someone who’s got LOADS of stage-presence and confidence - Alicia Keys - against a very nervous and almost little-girl-lost type of performance from our Leona. Watch Leona’s performances 1st, follwed by Miss Keys’ “No One” a bit further down the list.....she just OWNS the stage..... It’s Leona’s stupendous voice that rescues her somewhat - but she was oh-so nervous....and don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame her one little bit - I wouldn’t have been able to raise much more than a squeak if I was as nervous as she obviously was - it’s just that she must’ve realised that this was THE big stage for her, and potentially make or break for her US career prospects (though I’d tend to disagree with that really, as I’m sure she will have loads of more opportunities in the next few weeks - courtesy of Clive and Simons contacts, to showcase her talents a bit more like what we know they are REALLY like....) It wasn't her BEST performance I agree....but it definately wasn't too bad either!! Remember - just over 18 moths ago she was a nobody like us lot going about everyday life working as a temp in an office. Now she's nervously walking out on stage at a mega-star-studded bash in America and the realisation hit her just how much her life's changed in such a short time. As in the XFactor, she started off nervously but blossomed into a confident performer. This huge step-up is akin to that, and I think once she's had a few days adjusting to what's happening out there - she'll go back into her confident performer mode again. There was still enough evidence for all there, to see just what a fantastic voice she has anyway I think.....!

I LOVE it Her eyes are mesmerising in the vid and I dare say the music tv stations in the states, will be giving BOTH the vids airplay, not just this one.

When listening to the new album, I instantly liked Better in Time & Whatever it Takes, no 'bedding in time' at all - so, out of these four left, it was a toss up for me between BL or TaB....Bleeding Love took it - just! (....probably as it's been played to death on the TV/Radio in the last couple of months :rolleyes: )

Yeah.... I know it's a lot of hassle, but I don't have access to any large sized file hosting other than RS...... I can see from my account that people have already started to DL the vid...it is a lot of hassle if you're not with em already, but if you are, it's par for the course really. It's worth it IMHO....in our house, we've seen it again this week...TWICE!!! Naaaaw - she's luverly aint she??? :P (Yeah, I know - sad innit :rolleyes: ) Tip (if you don't already know.....) With WinRar, to save DL-ing the whole lot and finding it's not what you really expected....you can get a sample of the video to see what ya reckon. DL the first one or two parts and then click/double click on the 1st part......when the window pops up go ahead as normal and click OK (or Extract or whatever it says)...but put a tick in "Keep broken Parts"...this will give you a short clip that you can view in most video progs (but definately VLC Player...... www.videolan.org)

Hi everyone Thought I’d join up on this forum as, like almost everyone in Britain -and soon I’m sure, the world - I’m enchanted by the power of Leona Lewis - her voice and as much as her voice - her personallity - what a lovely person she is!! I’m in my 40’s and don’t usually scour the net looking for info on any particular artist or celeb, but Leona is so different to anyone else to appear on the scene, that I’ve been doing JUST that since she won XFactor last year. It seems to have taken an eternity for anything to start cropping up about her whilst she was doing her album in the States, but thankfully, that’s all changed now! I know it’s early days for her and she is only just starting to become really well-known - but I don’t think for a minute that it will change her one little bit - somehow, you just cant see her turning into a spoilt prima donna like so many others before her who let it all go to their heads - that’s when they start to lose all their appeal to Mr & Mrs Joe Public in my opinion!! Everyone in our house used to phone through and cast their vote for Leona - that’s me the ‘Mrs’ and the 2 kids..... and we were all delighted when she thankfully got the nod off the Great British public over Ray last December. We recorded the final of the X factor, the follow up program about her 1st week as winner (including her performance on the Xmas Top of the Pops), I stripped out all the commercials etc, combined them into a single good-quality video and converted it into a movie file of about 87mins which I have uploaded to Rapidshare and is available for anyone to download if you want to re-live it all one year on (or have never seen it at all)! You can download it without joining up to Rapidshare for free - but as it is about 1gb in size, it had to be split into parts of roughly 50mb each (you will need to rejoin the parts with WinRar). If you are already joined up with RS, you can download the lot together, otherwise you can only download 1 file at a time and have to wait a bit till you can then DL the next part.Bit of a pain but if you want it - it’s there indefinitely as far as I’m aware.
