Why is a non-Xmas Andy Williams song doing so well?

It’s interesting to hear about this. At my school there was obvious bad behaviour from certain people but generally the classes went ahead without too much disruption. Think from memory you could get three cards - a Late Card from not arriving on time, a homework card for not doing homework and a detention card for bad behaviour which needed signed by the parents. I always imagine things to be a lot worse these days but then I think that’s a stereotype I have in my head. And tbf the kids on the bus I get into work generally are well behaved.

So average they are in the cup semi final and in the top 4 despite huge changes that are clearly required. I take your point though. Hope palace can finally win it now, haven’t won a major trophy ever?

Can I ask, because it’s so long since I attended school, what the consequences are for pupil rudeness and having phones out are in your school for example @JosephBoone ?

I think the point here is that the same 4 posters come in every time Ed Sheeran has a new release and say the same opinions and it’s tedious for those that aren’t biased in their opinions about him and just are interested to hear what his new music sounds like. I’m not a fan of the new Gaga music, the new Jade song and the Teddy Swims music but I don’t feel the need to go in immediately to their threads and make the same opinions verging on derogatory personal comments about them every time. It’s one thing to have an opinion another to take it too far. I’m sure Ed is fine with things though he makes whatever music he wants at this point of his career and that he lives rent free in peoples head.

I remember when I was at school they made us watch the film ‘Dead Man Walking’ when in RE learning about the death penalty.

And yet it still wasn’t on the manifesto so there was no official commitment. I really think they’ve looked at the books and decided there’s no manoeuvre to pay it which is fine. I’m from Ireland and with regard to house building wonder where on earth new houses can be built in England - 70m people is a mental population for the land mass.

Songs seemed to rarely climb in the chart after Q1 1997 I noticed but we did have a lot of huge selling long running no1s still, was this just huge songs being released or had the continuous weekly turnover not been perfected until 99/2000? The Verve and Karma Police in the same top 10, doubt that would happen in 2025!

Beautiful Things is one of them songs that’s so consistent it’ll be there until December 🤣
