I was wondering lol. I did like The Killers final Xmas release which was partly spoken word a decade ago, ‘Please come home for Christmas’ which had Brandon telling a story of Christmas in Nevada!

Is this on the new album out next week? (The Greatest hits)!

Pretty happy with Royal Otis, their new album released last summer has been increasingly growing on me and have been listening periodically. Might now download it properly and give it a number of spins in the new year. Same goes for Sombr and I’ve already downloaded the Geese album so be nice to see them fully support these bands. Did they not A List all the Sombr songs through this year?

Is it just spoken word?

I get it, I would rather the newer Christmas music being new entries like in the old days and doing well rather than the same 30 Xmas songs charting each December because the chart now measures listens rather than sales but we are where we are with the metrics and consumption. And if these songs gain enough traction over the years they will start becoming bigger which I like measuring. Maybe you’ll grow to like Christmas again later in life as it means something different.

A sign of Christmas Day there except the Xmas songs will be x a lot more streams and Olivia will be just top 40!

In like 5 charts time it’ll be back to normal with year old songs in the top 40 again, it’s not a huge deal.

Exactly the reason why I readd the previous years new songs again on year two to give them a chance to become more familiar!

The most popular songs will tend to be the same on each format so they will be in the same order but the numbers are minimal even in the top 20 now. Maybe those who don’t do streaming are just enjoying them for various new reasons are downloading them for parties as a back up etc

Like a fine wine, this gets better with age!

Population is fluid so there will be new listeners every year who believe it or not haven’t heard the songs!
