I’ve been listening to her music for a few years now and always thought her voice was brilliant so glad to have seen ‘Messy’ smash to bring her into the mainstream, even if it isn’t my favourite song from her. (Loved her 2023 album)!

I don’t think they’ll win it, think it’ll be Brighton or Bournemouth which would be a nice change. As someone else said hope it isn’t City as they are a standard winner in the last 15 years or so. Was sure on Sunday once United equalised they would win as Fulham normally do well under Silva but ultimately lose especially when it went to penalties.

Surely they have a much chance as the rest?

Basically anything at the Brits that has an effect will likely ease past the current no1 as sales and streams are so low currently. Can anyone clarify the effect the Brits had in previous years?

Yeh it’s grim and boring, there’s plenty of new music but it’s just not breaking through in the charts. As usual though streams are only poor at the top and increasing for the rest as more people change to streaming services 10 years in.

Hope he does well in terms of the desperate need for freshness but this is a slow start after the NMF support/R1 instant adds.

Really is annoying when ‘relatively’ fresh hits like ‘Denial is a River’ fall as fast as they rise to popularity. She’s on acr 2 already whereas in my mind it’s one of the few fresh 2025 hits. At least she peaked in the top 10. Guess that’s an example of acr doing the exact job it’s there for on this occasion.

It’s a protest in a way but I would say it’s more dangerous in the extent that it moves centrist parties to the right more on issues just so they can regain votes as they have to move where the public are. I mean in the Blair years Labour were pro inmigration but now Labour have just accepted the rights narrative as the public have accepted it and don’t follow their own political ideals and argue their own views. It’s partly to do with the political system in a way. There’s no space to argue the morally correct arguement on these issues.

It was an easy political problem to solve imo. Cuttings international aid was a win win politically as it staves off Faragism from attacking them and massages Trumps ego before the trip. No suprise at Annalise resigning either as she is a soft left intellectual so it was always going to go against her ideological instincts and remember although she’s a Starmer loyalist she was shadow chancellor to start so there was a reason for her to resign. I don’t think it’ll damage the government too much and she will no doubt return if she and he wants her in a few years.

I’d love to lump Vance the sleezeball, totally bewildered by the press conference can’t stop watching it and wondering where the world goes from here. Think WW3 isn’t far off now. I mean if European troops end up on the ground as part of the ceasefire it’s only a letter of time before European warfare.
