If anything this just shows rogue states that they need nuclear armnaments to defend their regimes as the US won’t go near North Korea for example. If they don’t and they regime throws a spanner in the US colonial economic order they will change your government.

I’m not suggesting we are post WW2 but all these things seem impossible ubtil they are possible. Prettt sure the world was in a lot worse position in 1945 yet they did these things. People most likely had this dismissive view pre 1914 about Labour “they’ll never win outside of South Wales/Manchester/Glasgow or other trade union seats.

Yeh there’s a lot of factors involved, Labour still got 9k votes and they are the incumbent - in a GE their machine in these so called safe seats could mean they would win imo but it’s great to see Greens hopefully giving them a kick up the arse and hopefully they learn they should be looking leftwards and not just rightward in terms of their policies in government

It’s be a huge surprise if reform won imo, it’s not in their top 100 targets (same for the Greens) and there’s only really one half of the seat that they can do well in as one half is urban and diverse. The urban diverse Labour side of the seat also has twice as big a population so will likely see a left leaning party win the seat. Hope the Greens can pull this off after Starmer trying to smear them at PMQs on Wednesday saying they are the party of making it legal to take crack cocaine with no irony at all after all that’s happened in the past 2 months!
