Justin was never going to sell more than Adele, and he never will. Like all the guys who sell on sex appeal his fans just have a loud online presence. Not only has Adele got a better track record of sales, she has been away for years and her material is far better.

One Direction falling quickly already, Ed is up to 0.7959 from 0.7150 just two hours previously. His lowest was 0.5972 eight hours ago.

'Ding Dong' will be a serious contender for #1 if its lead grows a bit more and sells consistently.. I mean it's increased its lead from the number 2 by over 10% just over the course of this morning!

They should play it, unedited, and be honest with their audience about why it's charted - because Thatcher was such a divisive figure.

They should play it, and be honest about why it is charting - she was a divisive figure and that is part of her legacy. We cannot promote all of the positive reaction to her death and ignore all of the negative reaction - there must be an honest balance. Anything less is unacceptable. But I agree with the people who find this whole facade of purchasing this song in response to a death to be petty and an insult to her family.
