iTunes Chart: November IV
Absolutely no chance. XF has sold over 100k more than JD according to the midweeks. Not to mention the rate the CDs for XF will be selling loads.
-
iTunes Chart: November IV
Leona sold 85k last week, still very high sales and in most weeks would be #1.
-
iTunes Chart: November IV
The chances of XFF not being #1 for a second week are slim imo. On iTunes they wont be, but imagine how many physicals they are selling! I saw a shelf full of them in Asda who never stock singles!

Charity Single for Number 1
So to cut costs, why not do an original song, or cover a song by a SonyBMG/Syco arist so there are no costs so more will be given to charity?
-
Charity Single for Number 1
On the inside of the CD case it says "No less than £1 from the sale of each CD will be paid to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's charity". So, taking away the £1, it would retail for £2.99, The same record company (Syco) can afford to retail Leona's non-charity single for £1.99 in physical format. Out of the £1.99 there is of course a profit made, so £2.99!!!!??!??

iTunes Chart: November IV
Janet Jackson makes sense because it would explain why they haven't done a MJ theme as tribute to him, they'll do it on the semi-final (and give them another chance to plug the XFF charity single because it's a MJ song - Probably sing it with Janet like they did with Mariah Carey last year.)

What chart data is most useful to determine quality
Chart peak?  The criteria for the chart positions changes every week though... for example last week Robbie sold almost 300k albums but only reached #2, he'd have been #1 any other week of the year for example the week when Bruce Sprinsteen sold 26k to get #1 earlier this year.

Predict Mariah Carey - I Want To Know What Love Is
She performed that right at the beginning of the performances show though, ~6m will have been watching as it was only at the beginning of the build up to peak viewers. This will be shown in the middle of the results show with ~13m watching.

iTunes Chart : November III
Last year's XF charity song sold 300k in its first week, so the chances of anyone else getting #1 this week is practically none. - It was still over 100k in it's third week.
