Just heard Birmingham's main shopping centre has been closed early as a precaution - early closures will also lessen sales.

I assume the riots across the country must be affecting sales? In some areas people may be afraid to go to the main shops?

I think Cher will lose sales very quickly towards the end of the week, I think she's very frontloaded.

Theres no getting away from Swagger Jagger, I put the Vevo Rihanna playlist on youtube and the advert is played between every bloody song! I think people are going to get sick of it because its overplayed, but its really catchy so its doing well I guess.

I don't think it would have as big effect as you think - though it would have a big effect. Adele has only just released her second album which is already selling fantastically well - Adele is already very exposed. Amy on the other hand hasn't released new material for half a decade, meaning her material isn't fresh in people's minds and theres a generation of people hearing her material for the first time.
