  2.
  3. David Guetta`s new video for "When Love Takes Over" is in progress and will hopefully be in the countdown soon - a really good song imo
  4. 09-05-31 Bob Sinclar scores a fifth number 1 on the dfc so now let`s have a look at his history: Year/ Song Title/ Peak/ Duration/ 2000 "I Feel For You".................(3) 2002 "The Beat Goes On"...........(2) 2003 "Kiss My Eyes"..................(3) 2005 "Love Generation".............(1) (2 weeks) 2006 "World, Hold On"...............(1) (5 weeks) 2006 "Rock This Party"..............(1) (2 weeks) 2007 "Sound Of Freedom"..........(1) (4 weeks) 2007 "What I Want"...................(6) 2007 "Together"........................(3) 2008 "What A Wonderful World" .(3) 2009 "Lala Song".......................(1) (1 week +)
  5. Probably; since he is known to have fronted several TV programmes in the UK and also hosted many entertainment shows in Asia.
  6. Yes, his name was Trey Farley and he`s half English and half Filipino. He made his first appearance by filling in for Eden in 1999/2000 but took over the show for a few months from July, 2000.
  7. Yes, Markus Tolksdorf keeps a very good one with charts from 1991 up until today here:History of European Top 20 Btw Good job tsetsi...Eden was my favourite presenter
  8. 09-05-24 A little history about Freemasons...one of the members was from Phats & Small and they had two number 1`s on the dfc; "Turn Around" in 1999 and "Tonite" in 2000. As Freemasons, their best efforts occured in 2005 with "Love On My Mind" peaking at number 3. Now they enter the chart together with Sophie Ellis Bexter at number 5 with "Heartbreak". Speaking of Sophie Ellis Bexter - her best effort on the dfc was in 2000 together with DJ Spiller in "Groovejet" peaking at number 2 for several weeks. On her own she managed to reach number 5 with "Murder On The Dancefloor" in 2002. Now on to a Dutch house DJ and producer with alias Fedde Le Grand known for having 3 successful hits on the dfc top 10; "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" (1 week in 2006), "The Creeps" (1 week in 2007) and "Let Me Think About It" (2 weeks in 2007). After Danish singers Camille Jones and Ida Corr, the frequent switch in partners seemed to be giving him number 1`s so he continues this strategy by enlisting Mitch Crown to sing for him on "Scared Of Me" which now enters the chart at number 10.
  9. Could be from the chart dated 900424... Top 20
  10. 2009-05-17 Paul Van Dyk has an impressive resume on the dfc. He has topped the countdown with "Crush" (2 weeks), "The Other Side" (1 week), "Let Go" (1 week)... He is also to be remembered for his dfc top 3 hits such as "Another Way" (1999), "Nothing But You" (2003) and "White Lies" (2007). The German DJ`s new-entry in the countdown has an interesting story behind since it was one of his first releases back in 1994 on his very first album but prooved to be more successful on its second release in 1998 and charted on the dfc top 20. Now he gives resurrection to his song for the third time and enters at number 9.

I would`ve liked to see your top 5, if you don`t mind.

Looks like a good strategy although Flo Rida, Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Lily GaGa should be excluded from the countdown regardless of their success since that was the whole idea of having a Nordic Chart - a chart dedicated to artists from the Nordic countries only. These other exclusive artists we see on other charts enough already.

    Do you have it somewhere?

I think this is a very good idea and I think a suitable size for the chart would be a Top 10. That was at least the size of "Up North" when it ended a couple of years ago. If I were to do it I would base it on the single and download sales as well as airplay.
  15. seriously, where is Flo Rida?? In the last two months - all new entries jump quite high the following week
  16. 2009-05-10 +++Kid Cudi scores a third week on top of the chart +++A house producer and Canadian DJ with alias Deadmau5 debuts at number 3 with "I Remember" +++If Tiga falls out of the countdown next week then he`ll have spent the longest amount of time at number 10 whilst peaking at number 10 - 3 weeks
  17. Cleaning up this thread was a very wise idea whoever did that...the Euro Top 20 confusions caused this thread to be one of the hottest threads on buzzjack with about 2500 views in the past month!
  18. This will have to do 1) I`m guessing any of the songs moving downwards in the bottom half of the chart 2) The chain of expected new entries is quite long and the list starts behind Flo Rida`s "Right Round"and Beyonce`s "Halo" 3) Well the response to "We Made You" is pretty big so it could become nr 1 but I`m expecting to see Katy`s "Thinking Of You" move higher and if "Right Round" does chart at all it`ll most likely top this chart.
  19. 2009-05-03 +++Calvin Harris scores his first Nr. 1 on the dfc with "I´m Not Alone" +++New entry from a swedish singer Agnes who is known for winning Swedish Idol 2005 +++Martin Solveig takes the title for the longest chart survival for a song peaking at Nr. 4.
  20. Long time No see  Nice that the charts continued and I wouldn`t be surprised if Lily Allen tops the next edition. We also have a record for non-movers - 13 of them in the April 11th chart. Does anyone know when and where they show the very first new chart?
  21. 2009-04-26 Ferry Corsten manages to repair last weeks unpleasant fall to the bottom of the chart whilst Lady GaGa´s "Poker face" falls completely out of the chart after topping it just last week! This has never happened on the dfc before. Something that has happened before is that Kid Cudi has topped the chart for one week earlier this year and returns for a second week at the summit. Bob Sinclar is back in the countdown with "Lala Song" and keeps filling his resume of hits, the best one being "World Hold On" which topped the countdown for 5 weeks in 2006. Tiga also returns after a while with "Shoes" and his best hit was "You Gonna Want Me" from 2005 and peaked at number 3. He first visited the countdown with Nelly`s "Hot In Herre" in 2003 and peaked at number 8 in the top 20.
  22. R.I.P. Euro Top 20

Actually I agree with Bobiloko that the Euro Top 20 is much better. I do not like both those new charts at all regardless of there accuracy in reflecting the individual charts from countries in Europe. The difference between those charts and Euro Top 20 is that Euro Top 20 graded the songs relative to themselves and not in comparison with other songs. So imagine that "Poker Face" and "Right Round" were really bad songs and weren´t doing well in those countries but were only topping the individual charts because they were the "best" at this moment in time so Euro Top 20 would correct this by giving them a position that they actually diserve and then it would look like the chart is inaccurate when infact if those songs were released at a time when the competition was tighter the songs wouldn`t perhaps be performing as well. Songs in the past have been known to peak at number 2 or 3 etc. for several weeks without reaching higher what so ever if they didn`t "qualify" for it. This is why I think Euro Top 20 is better afterall when you sum up a year by arranging all the number 1´s and the well preformed number 2`s in order you still get what the consensus considers to be the greatest hits of that year.
  24. 2009-04-19 He sang on "Dance Wiv Me" with Dizzee Rascal and peaked at number 5 last year but first appeared with "Acceptable In The 80`s" in 2007 and now crashes into the dfc at number 3 with UK number-1, "I`m Not Alone". The chart opens its doors for Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris who could as soon as next week end Lady GaGa`s 6-week victory at the top with "Poker Face".
  25. It would feel quite empty to lose the most important and interesting chart on MTV Europe that has been running for over 18 years. I can`t really say I`m surprised even though I wasn`t so moved by them cancelling the "Chart of the Year" editions since 2007 but I got a little suspicious when only the top 10 was shown in most countries last year mostly without re-runs. Evenmore they started skipping the show once in a while towards the end of last year which worried me even more and now they haven`t shown the countdown here at all for a month. The chart was simply removed from the schedule without even a proper send-off. This is evidently spreading across the continent and the fact that there is no new chart information available for over two weeks suggests that it is very likely that the Euro Top 20 is over.
