  1. Good to hear that you enjoyed the concert. I heard that there was a lot of space free at the front of the stage, that's a real shame. High ticket prices could be a reason, especially in the golden circle section. It's a pity people behind that line were not allowed to move forward a bit to fill the space. Wembley tickets were still available a while back, will be interesting to see how full the stadium is on those nights.
  2. Well....... I won't throw anything at you :P I have to admit I didn't even know what song Minnie The Moocher was until I searched for it on youtube, recognised it straight away then, and yeah my reaction is pretty much the same as yours......wtf! I reckon it'll be on his next swing album. I'll post more opinion once I've seen him next week, regardless of what setlist he does, he will put on a great show as always.

  5. From: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment...sh-fans-1968970 Robbie Williams gives Scottish fans taster for Hampden spectacular as he kicks off UK arena tour in typical showman style 20 Jun 2013 09:17 ROBBIE is set to play two gigs at Hampden Park in Glasgow next week and insists he can't wait to perform for his Scottish fans. ZIP-WIRING along Manchester’s Etihad stadium lit up by flares, Robbie Williams promised to entertain us. And for two glorious hours, he did. The singer kicked off the his UK arena tour last night in spectacular style, showing no trace of the nerves which once plagued him and showing fans in Scotland what they can expect next week. Robbie plays two gigs at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Tuesday and Wednesday and after this showing, he doesn’t disappoint. Following on from his (very) able assistant, support act Olly Murs, whose set included a brilliant Earth, Wind & Fire medley, he arrived on stage on time at 9pm. Justin Bieber and Rihanna take note. Wearing sparkling black tails teamed with baggy suit trousers, the 39-year-old performed beneath a giant mould of his face. During Kids – a duet with Olly – out came another 30ft tall mould, this time silver. Sin, Sin, Sin saw an even bigger bronze version wheeled out on stage. During Come Undone, this face spat out repeated streams of white mist over the crowd. Robbie isn’t shy or modest. And this is precisely why he is able to deliver such a showman’s performance. The 55,000-strong crowd were on their feet throughout the show. An acoustic section during the 23-song set was well received and proved the singer is not just a pretty face. Fans with tickets for the Hampden gigs will doubtless be counting the days. And the man himself plans to warm up for the gigs by running laps of the famous football field before the audience floods in. In an interview with Boogie for In:Demand Scotland, Robbie said: “I run around the pitch five times before I do some interviews and have a massage.” Robbie said he can’t wait to perform for his Scottish fans. He added: “Scotland is one of those places you treasure going to because you know you have already won. “They are there for the craic, the beer and to sing at the top of their voices. They are less inhibited. Basically, you are mad.” Robbie will be playing for 45,000 fans each night at Hampden. But he revealed he would love to play some smaller “sweaty” gigs in Scotland following his appearances at Glasgow’s Barrowland last year. He added: “I would like to go back to do that again. Me and 2000 of my friends.” In Manchester last night, he ended the show with She’s The One and Angels. It’s official: Robbie’s back. For good.

  7. From: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/jun/2...robbie-williams Liam Gallagher pelts Robbie Williams with sour grapes over success Gallagher launches tirade at Take That star, who played to 60,000 crowd on night his own band performed to 1,500 Liam Gallagher and Beady Eye performed at the Ritz in Manchester at the same time as the second of four Robbie Williams gigs at the Etihad stadium. Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has reignited his feud with Robbie Williams, having a pop at the Take That singer for performing at the home of his beloved Manchester City football club. Gallagher's new band, Beady Eye, played at the 1,500-capacity Ritz in Manchester on Wednesday, the same night as Williams played the second of four shows at the Premier League side's 60,000-seat Etihad stadium as part of his Take the Crown tour. The 40-year-old Gallagher mocked Williams, 39, before the show, calling him an idiot. Asked why Beady Eye were playing the Ritz while Williams was playing to tens of thousands, Gallagher told BBC Radio 5 Live they were a "proper live band" but "the bullshit is winning". "It's a small gig. Beady Eye ain't a big band," he said. "Everyone thinks we're going to announce big f***ing stadiums. [The Ritz]'s the level we're at and we'll stay at that until you pull your f***ing finger out and buy the f***ing records." He added that people who thought Beady Eye should be playing stadiums just because of his Oasis success were living in the past. In a reference to Williams, he added: "We should be playing the Etihad three nights, not some f***ing fat f***ing idiot. It could be any f***ing clown. "I think it's a shame that he's doing three nights and a band like us are doing one night in the Ritz. Poor, mate. It's not about him, it's people in general. But it's about f***ing him, just in case you think I'm scared or something." It is not the first time Gallagher has taken aim at Williams. The Take That star was originally friends with Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel and partied with them at Glastonbury in 1995, around the time of his acrimonious departure from the boyband. They fell out after Noel called him "that fat dancer from Take That". In 2000, Williams challenged Liam to a televised boxing match for £100,000 while collecting a Brit Award for his solo work.

I guess it's going to be difficult to avoid reading about the set list. I imagined it would be pretty similar to the set list he done at the O2.
