And my freshest comments... So what at first look may seem as a typical chart has turned into one of the most amazing German top 100 which I've seen over the last years :) No surprises at the top as the Rabbit is still number one, for a sixth consecutive week. However Lucy and co, aka No Angels, are on their way to knock the creature off the top as the girls make a 12-4 jump in their second week in the countdown. Great to see that the golden age of No Angels has returned. Well done. What about the two biggest new entries this week? The honour goes to the one and only Amy Winehouse with "Valerie" (the song may be actually of Mark Ronson but I'm sure he has nothing to do with its success in Germany) and with "Back to Black" at #6 and #8, respectively. After "Rehab" peaked at #23 only two weeks ago, you cannot stop feeling that Germans have discovered Amy Winehouse's talent only recently. Perhaps all tabloids in the country have started covering her doings massively over the last months? I don't know, but Amy is with three songs in the top 40, which are yet to gain in momentum. That's bizarre... The cash is piling up, it's up to Amy to use it well ;) Moving on, at #9 we find the one and only, the man himself, the great Timbaland. With a fourth single in a row, the consistency at which he manages to make hits is quite fascinating . You can only admire at him. "Apologize" is of course still in the top ten... #10 A Fine Frenzy - Almost Lover - Yes, she managed to do it, finally a top ten single. #24 Michael Wendler - Nina - DJ Oetzi may seem on his way down, but Michael is here to replace him. His former single "Sie liebt den DJ" is already a schlager classic ;) #25 Kelly Rowland - Work - Congratulations for Kelly, who I basically have written off after the break-up of Destiny's Child. Nevertheless after the success in the UK, "Work" has all the chances to be a hit, at least moderate, in Germany. Apart from "Dilemma", her biggest solo single in the country has been "Stole", with a #15 peak in 2002. #29 Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars - Oh why this song is again in the top 30? Does anyone know??? That's Snow Patrol 32nd week in the German top 100. #35 Mika - Lollipop - Oh, I love Mika. So praise to him, a fifth single in Germany and still not a flop... #44 Fortenbacher - Hinterm Ozean - That jump from #71 has to be mentioned. The next weeks will show whether the musical singer will have a huge hit or not... #46 Enrique Iglesias - Tired of Being Sorry - Why Enrique has waited for so long to release a second single from his "Insomniac" album? I don't know but as the song has failed to set the chart on fire, I think that this has not been a wise move. #51 Colbie Caillat - The Little Things - Colbie, who is quite boring as long as my opinion matters, follows her top ten hit "Bubbly" with a flop. For now, she is still a one-hit wonder. At least in Germany. #52 Room 2012- Naughty But Nice - Oh I feel sorry about the boys and the girl as I like them a lot, but as I've already said - new Monrose they are not. A pity... The first single from the "Elevator" album peaked at #10 before disappearing very very quickly... #54 Cascada - What Do You Want From Me? - The first single from "Perfect Day" was a smash. The second not. #55 Bryan Adams - I Thought I'd Seen Everything - Bryan, for now the German chart has also seen everything from you. You have to try harder to impress it ;) #65 Adele - Chasing Pavements - Downloads, physical sales, it doesn't matter - it's a flop #71 Shaggy | Samantha Cole - Bonafide Girl - Shaggy must quit singing for good!
