Hi all. I am new here but have lurked for quite some time. I have created a chart of 2007, which includes every song that made the top 40 in 2007. I awarded points to each song based on it's position in the chart, e.g. 1pt for #40, 2pts for #39 and so on. I also awarded bonus points for every 5th, 10th, 15th etc... week spent inside the top 40. There was 5 bonus pts for songs which spent 5 weeks on the chart. 10 more bonus pts if it went on to spend 10 weeks in the top 40 and so on. Bonus pts were also awarded to climbers/new entries. 1pt was awarded to the lowest climber/new entry. 2pts to the second lowest and so on. Finally the song at number 1 recieved 10 bonus 10pts plus pts corresponding to the amount of climbers/new entries there were. So if there were 14 climbers/new entries. The song at number 1 would recieve 40+10+14=64. If the song at number 1 was a climber/new entry it would also recieve an addition 14 points because it was a climber/new entry. I hope this makes sense, if not then just ask any questions. There was a total of 454 different songs which went top 40 in 2007. Tonight I will quickly announce the songs placing between 251-454. Then throughout the week I will announce the top 250, with chart runs inside the top 40 and video included. Feel free to comment on the songs as I go along.

Hi, a very good idea for a countdown. Some good songs have gone so far and some not so good ones too. I was just wondering, how do you get the youtube videos on to each post. As i have made my own countdown of the all the songs which went top 40 in 2007 and I would like to share it on here. Many thanks in advance for any replies. I look forward to seeing the rest of this countdown.
