^^ This I was there too (bloody brilliant night and what a venue). She was her usual effortless self and I too remain perplexed that she hasn’t cut though beyond the Eurovision enclave. FWIW I think her main threat comes from Spain (less so Finland) and that performance from Blanca was first class. I say this objectively, as I’m not crazy about the song but I’m gripped by the visual performance.

I’m off the London Pre-Party too. Worth the ticket price alone for Loreen.

Nobody votes for their 9th favourite from the semi. Without the UK voting, I can honestly envisage a situation where this gets zero points.

This is strong. It’s not doing anything new, but it’s a solid example of fem-pop and not unlike something Mabel would do (albeit Mae is likely a better vocalist and more charisma). I’m chuffed with this and it has the basis for a solid top ten finisher with eye-popping staging. TaP wont put their name to a half-arsed presentation. I’m surprised how lukewarm this is being received here.

It’s a bit B Grade “New Rules” but I certainly don’t think this is even close to taking us back to our bad old days. It’s got the legs to do well and I believe TaP know what they’re doing.

This is the perfect blend of satire, crazy and being a certified banger. LOVE!

I’m heading to Semi Final 1 and Semi 2 Jury. I’m ecstatic and extremely lucky given so many were less so.

I think this is dead cert top five. I’m not even ruling out a win, with some tweaks and added flourishes. You only need a fraction of the televote to love it and that vox will get lots of jury love.

This is the sort of vapid rubbish I expect from Denmark (not that Ireland is much better either). I don’t think the public will vote for something that they would never actively seek out.

I predict the jury top three will be UK, Sweden and Greece. In what order, I don’t know. I can easily envisage UK winning the jury vote with a solid top ten televote result tbqhwy.

I managed to bag jury final and Semi 2 live. Appreciate I’m very lucky however there is an official resale site so all isn’t lost for those still wanting to make it.

An early back-of-a-fag-packet prediction Semi 1 Safe predictions: Albania Lithuania Netherlands Ukraine Armenia Greece Norway On the bubble: Moldova Switzerland (Sasha is stage director and I think juries will really take to this) Latvia Semi 2 Should be fine: Poland Sweden Israel Serbia (I think the media gossip ahead of the show will really drive this) Azerbaijan Estonia On the bubble: Czech Republic Ireland Cyprus Georgia Semi 2 is really tricky as I can easily envisage Australia and Finland making it.

Another factor which will perhaps go in Ukraines favour is taking votes from ex-soviet states which would’ve otherwise gone to Russia. With a empathic Televote score, I can totally envisage an overall victory for Ukraine.

*if* TaP are handed control of staging, I’m going for an optimistic 6th. The song does interestingly stand out in the pack when you listen to all snippets back to back.
