  1. Well if the jury have out Monsters in the lead (just) I'd surely expect Finland to do more of the same. A population of 5 million who are form advocates of Eurovision, it would assume Monsters will win? Not taking for granted though...
  2. Ok so televotes will dictate this then...
  3. Come through Monsters!
  4. I'm conditioning myself for Domino to win. They've clearly made use of the lack of LEDs with those props. I can only envisage Monsters winning on the basis of its commercial success.
  5. I prefer Queens over Domino FTW
  6. That wasn't QUITE as epic as envisaged. Oh dear...
  7. This is beyond hideous. I’ve yet to rate a Dutch entry beyond 1/10 this decade.
  8. Yep, this’ll do. Ta muchly Cyprus.
  9. Unibet have Monsters as the clear favourite at odds of 1/7! Queens a distant 2nd at 5/1.
  10. On the basis that I can’t rate anything beyond a 6/10, I can’t even clobber together a top ten. Czech Republic, France and UK would make up my top three though but after that it’s mostly poor to utter tosh. The second half of announcements must be on point!
  11. Given they had a very poor selection this year, this was the best they had. I'm a bit middling with this but I can see it growing.
  12. I love Dance You Off. Whilst For You is perfectly good, its not original enough IMO to win and it isn’t a patch on A Million Years, which was so warm and melodic. Dance You Off stands out, love how it’s not over produced but it’s distinctive enough to probably keep Sweden’s top 5 track record intact.
  13. Delirium is easily my favourite here. Light It Up is a bit too tame to be the banger it could potentially be. Either way, both would score well with juries, which they havent done well with previously (and deservedly so).
  14. Ever year I rely on THAT 11/10 track, I’ve managrd it the last three years (City Lights, If Love Was A Crime, Love Injected) and Monsters will easily continue that trend, it really is that brilliant.
  15. Felix is making me nervous, can’t help people will be drawn in by the “mood” whilst blissfully ignoring that fact the song is unbelievably piss-poor (the lyrics certainly don’t live up to much and he sounds like a very average singer). I’m hoping solid scoring from juries and public will edge Ingrosso as the winner in what has been a stinker of a year.
  16. Feels like Mariette is the best bits of this years MelFest (granted there’s not many), clobbered together to make a so-so track. Very underwhelming. I think my favourite this year is Benjamin Ingrosso. But it looks like Sweden aren’t winning this year...
  17. So, basically, it’s a two-horse between Monsters and Domino. I hope Monsters gets it, but Domino is surely jury catnip especially with that money note near the end. Queens is ok, but disappointing given the strength of the other two.
  18. Brilliant write up indeed, esp as I’m not quite as hot in MelFest knowledge as others.
  19. Monsters is flippin fab! Love it! Domino is also brilliantly done, but I'm always gonna opt for a bop over a ballad. Domino is a far better written song than SOS, which I thought was a bit naff (but brilliantly performed obvs).
  20. I’d be perfect;y happy with Asmik
  21. If there’s a jury panel involved, surely they won’t rate Qami? Can’t have that going through over the other aforementioned bops especially the rocky start we’ve had so far this year...
  22. I had such high expectations for Dotter. It was messy but 6th place? This has been an absolute shower of shite this year. Ben Ingrosso aside, I'm not arsed about anything else. Mariette MUST deliver.
  23. Dotter sounds bloody brill. Sounds like a pending killer chorus there.
  24. Scandilove is my go too but would be perfectly happy with Who We Are (which I think is the one to beat, sounds like a jury fave). After that, I’m not bothered
