  1. In a sea of beige, I'm putting my chips on Joe & Jake. It's the closest we've got to an "ok" pop tune that sounds relatively current. And if all else fails, I've got something nice to look at!
  2. Various shades of Beige and Magnolia. Good news is no novelty tosh and NO Electro Velvet mark 2! "Miracle" has a sort of "anthemic" quality, but it's incredibly ordinary and will live up to its name sake if it appears on the lefthand side of the score board. I agree, Track 1 is the best of a rather shoddy selection.
  3. Basically ALL OF THIS! Complete agreement.
  4. I'm so on board with this, on the basis that a) It's actually better and will create a bigger buzz in the voting b) it will piss of those who repel change, who probably still yearn for the days of scoring every song out of 5.
  5. This is BEYOND shite. Another eurovision Semi-Final crasher backbones surely
  6. I thought the package with Wictoria was terrible. Song is a bit limp in isolation and the overstated SFX don't juxtapose well. People clearly forgotten what they were listening to, just transfixed on the visuals. Totally incohesive. Isa was given a mega raw deal.
  7. Rather liking the Ace Wilder snippet... Sounds like a nod to this 90s house ditty
  8. Wooh! So at least one guaranteed banger for the final then!
  9. I'd love Barei to win but I can't see it getting on the left hand side of the scoreboard. I'm sure it will slay the OGAE votes though! ^_^
  10. Nickleback were painful enough in the 00s. I soviet version in 2016 is very unnecessary - truly, truly AWFUL.
  11. Malta and Belgium are both pretty good... IF they go through the usual revved up/post production process. I'm aware both said countries have done this in the post, so hopefully...
  12. Given Belgium have a legacy of utter tosh, this will be the second consecutive solid entry. Granted it could do with an uplift, like "sax' on a budget.
  13. I do agree with this. For me, "HourGlass" is the absolute moneyshot. Disclosure are at their best when they are crafting out and out house music, the 3am sort. It is a GREAT album, but "Settle" is a feat too little out of reach of eclipsing.
  14. Yep, I like on first listen and a grower most def!

Seriously don't understand the hate going on here? They have progressed their sound, they sound more accomplished and - as hard as I find to believe - better! I will agree, "Hour Glass" is absolutely doing wonders for me right now. "Jaded" is a bold move for them I think, it's a big pop track and they've done it aplomb. Plus Howard sounds great (yes, auto-tuned much!).
  16. I can't get over how amazing this is, actually might pass out!
  17. "Love Injected" was ridiculously amazing.
  18. My toes curled for the entire 3 minutes when I saw the pathetic Electro Velvet in Vienna. They said they were providing the "fun" element.. I never saw so many punters run to the bar! A horrible entry, made all the worse when considering the progress we made in 2014. Anything will be better than 2015 TBH.
  19. It's OK, at best. Some female singers are best remaining as guest vocalists as opposed to outright mega stars... although the two solo number one hits may mean I stand corrected!
  20. Summer. A horrible noise.
  21. Typical CH video - basically, shit.
  22. Very much looking forward to this... Dare I say nothing will match the amazingness of Au Seve
  23. So pleased he's departing from the overbaked EMD sound, a sound which surely must be on its way out now? A savvy move. A change in sound, but without alienating his fanbase.
  24. I love it but, for me, they're at that stage where it's practically impossible for them to put a foot wrong for me... I'm a little bugged that it sounds far too close to the track they did for Mary J and the album seems, as so far, much in the main of R&B than club/house flare. We'll see...
